Today's episode of "The Tracy Fort Show" has been cancelled

Due to my co-host, Tracy Fort, fighting bronchitis and it worsening in recent days, we've decided to cancel today's show, which was regularly scheduled for 3:30 to 5:30 pm EST. With her health being our main focal point at this time, it's difficult to determine when we'll air our next show. Hopefully she'll get to feeling better soon and we'll be able to air an episode before Labor Day weekend, but my gut is telling me that's quite unlikely. I'll be sure to update readers/listeners when I find out something new. In the meantime, you can listen to old episodes of ours at this link: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/thetracyfortshow You can also follow us at these two sites: https://twitter.com/TracyFortShow https://www.facebook.com/TheTracyFortShow/ Lastly, if you want to continue hearing Tracy and I, you can donate money to our show/cause here: https://www.gofundme.com/TheTracyFortShow

Weekly update of my book information

For new readers (and regular ones, I suppose), here's some information pertaining to my books. All twelve of my books can be purchased in paperback form at the following site (and others): http://www.lulu.com/shop/search.ep?type=&keyWords=craig+rozniecki&x=7&y=5&sitesearch=lulu.com&q= The ten books I've written and released in the past 4 years (yes, I've been on a roll) can be purchased for much cheaper in Kindle form at the following link: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_22?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=craig%20rozniecki%20kindle&sprefix=craig+rozniecki+kindle%2Caps%2C228&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Acraig%20rozniecki%20kindle

Colin Kaepernick is not anti-American

Before their Friday preseason game against the Green Bay Packers, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick drew headlines by sitting during the national anthem. Kaepernick later explained his actions, saying: "I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football, and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder." This protest by the Pro Bowl quarterback has generated strong reactions both for and against, with many giving him credit for taking a stand (figuratively speaking) on an important social issue, and others decrying his actions as unpatriotic. Now, while we all have the right to voice our opinions on whether or not we feel Kaepernick was right or wrong in his words and actions, let's get one thing straight - his peaceful protest was anything but anti-American

"Unintentional Irony" by Ann Coulter

On Tuesday, conservative commentator and partial she-male demon, Ann Coulter, released the book, In Trump We Trust . Not long after the release of her book, Donald Trump publicly flip-flopped on immigration, and Ms. Coulter has gone on to imply she no longer trusts Trump. Yes, the book's title got debunked within 24 hours of its release. How's that for unintentional irony? The only way Coulter can top herself next time is if she releases the book President Trump a day after he loses. http://www.mediaite.com/online/woman-who-wrote-in-trump-we-trust-goes-on-tweetstorm-about-why-we-cant-trust-trump/

Katrina Pierson: "What are these words that are coming out of my mouth?"

From claiming President Obama invaded Afghanistan to her belief that liberal reporters were "literally" beating up Donald Trump supporters, Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson has had some issues making sense when in front of the camera. Well, that happened again earlier today, as while on CNN, Ms. Pierson attempted to defend Donald Trump's recent change in stance with regard to immigration by saying, “He hasn’t changed his position. He has changed the words that he is saying.” So, in other words, he changed his position. With that line of thinking, expect Katrina Pierson to utter the following lines in the future: - "He hasn't committed adultery. He simply stuck his penis in a vagina that wasn't his wife's." - "He hasn't lied. He just said something he knew wasn't true." - "He hasn't been speeding. He was going the speed limit, only much faster." - "He hasn't lost. When all was said and done, he simpl

It's been a year... (8/22/15)

It's hard for me to believe, but yesterday marked the 1-year anniversary of my friend Gary's passing. After being diagnosed with cancer, he was given 6 months to live, but battled it for over 7 years. It's been a rough year for me on the health front, but Gary continues to be an inspiration to me, as he's taught me, no matter how bleak things might seem today, so long as we're breathing, we can fight for a better tomorrow. Rest in peace, Gary. We miss you, bud.

There's no other way to say it: Donald Trump is in serious electoral trouble

While Hillary Clinton currently leads all the national polls by between 5 and 10 points, that doesn't even begin to show how good of shape she's in when it comes to the electoral college. Donald Trump and his supporters can deny it all they'd like, they're in serious trouble. Let's look at the electoral map for a second. Here are very blue states in which Trump has less chance of winning than I do of beating Usain Bolt in the 100 m after drinking with Ryan Lochte (Keep in mind it takes 270 electoral votes to win the election): 1) Hawaii: 4 electoral votes 2) Washington: 12 electoral votes (16 total) 3) California: 55 electoral votes (71 total) 4) Illinois: 20 electoral votes (91 total) 5) Vermont: 3 electoral votes (94 total) 6) Massachusetts: 11 electoral votes (105 total) 7) Rhode Island: 4 electoral votes (109 total) 8) Connecticut: 7 electoral votes (116 total) 9) Delaware: 3 electoral votes (119 total) 10) Maryland: 10 electoral votes (129 total) 11

Farewell, "The Nightly Show"

Last Thursday night showcased the final episode of Larry Wilmore's The Nightly Show on Comedy Central. While I didn't find The Nightly Show nearly as humorous as its predecessor, The Colbert Report , I still felt it was an incredibly important show - especially at this time in our country's history. Let's think back to all of the late-night talk show hosts over the past ten years: David Letterman, Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien, Craig Ferguson, Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers, Bill Maher, John Oliver, Carson Daly, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel. What do they all have in common? They're all white guys. If it weren't for the recent additions of Trevor Noah and Samantha Bee, white guys would have temporarily held a monopoly on late night talk shows. While Ms. Bee is a woman and Mr. Noah is a black man, neither delved into topics pertaining to the African-American community like Mr. Wilmore did. Objective #2 for Larry Wilmore and The Nightly Show was to prompt laughter. Obj

Paying It Forward

As I drove to dinner last night, I saw a family holding up a sign, saying they'd work for food. For once, I pulled over, got out of my car, introduced myself, and asked to hear their story. When all was said and done, I took them to the place of their choosing (Chick-fil-A), bought them a meal, and wished them well. The tears and gratitude in their eyes, the seemingly never-ending stream of "thank yous" will never be forgotten. It's pretty easy to focus on the minor hardships in life, whether it be a traffic jam, the cable going out, or a flight delay, yet many of us often times forget how fortunate we are. While we're struggling to decide where to travel next, another family is struggling to put food on the table and simply survive. Who knows whether or not my gesture will help this family in the long-term, but while I work at home, contemplating on what to eat next, sadly taking such a thing for granted, I'm glad I was able to provide such a necessity to ano

I have officially joined the 21st century!

Just the other day, I officially joined the 21st century! Well, I still haven't taken a selfie or joined Instagram, so I suppose that's still debatable. However, for the longest time, I was reluctant on joining the text message craze. I spent 12 hours a day working on the computer. Why on earth would I want to continue poking away at keys/buttons with my fingers when away from the PC - especially keys/buttons much smaller than those presented on the keyboard? But, as an increasing number of people swapped landlines for cell phones, and an increasing number of people swapped talking on their cell phones with text messaging on them, I finally had to give in to the temptation. I'm still intent on never texting while on a date at a restaurant, however. Yes, I still have standards.

It's time for a new chapter

I've had my share of laughs, pictures, WTF moments, and bonding experiences when drinking alcohol, but anymore, the adult beverage is just causing me problems and it's time to quit. I gave it up for 4 months earlier this year, in light of some rather unexpected major panic attacks. After my body adjusted to the medication, I started off slowly with the drinking, but just 3 months later, and I'm already feeling the negative effects: Gout, elevated anxiety, elevated blood pressure, elevated heart rate, fatigue, etc. While I could undergo a personal experiment and test how many drinks I can consume on a given night and how many consecutive nights I can drink without suffering such ill effects, I don't want to put my mind, heart, and rest of my body through that. So, I think it's just time to give it up. Some of my friends and family members seem to feel bad for me, but I don't see the reason why. Without alcohol, I'll sleep better, feel better, look better, and

Does Donald Trump know what sarcasm means?

At several recent rallies, Donald Trump referred to President Barack Obama as the "founder of ISIS." After getting scalded by the media for the comment, he tweeted this message: "Ratings challenged @CNN reports so seriously that I call President Obama (and Clinton) 'the founder' of ISIS, & MVP. THEY DON'T GET SARCASM?" He then followed that up with: "When I said that Obama -- and of course I'm being sarcastic. And they know that. Because after I said that, I said he's the MVP. So I said, the founder of ISIS. Obviously I'm being sarcastic. Then, then -- but not that sarcastic, to be honest with you." In the following days, when Trump spokespersons were asked whether Trump's comment was sarcastic or not, many often said, "Yes and no depending on the interpretation." First off, ISIS was formed in 2002 when George W. Bush was in the Oval Office. So whether Trump was being sarcastic or serious, he was more off

It's Donald Trump's goal to get 0% of the women's vote

Donald Trump has long struggled with the women's vote. Heck, that goes for the GOP in general. The Republican Party hasn't won the women's vote since 1988 when George H.W. Bush won that demographic by 2-points. In the six elections since then, Democrats have won the women's vote by a combined 61-points (average of 10.2-points per). With the Democratic Party featuring the first woman presidential nominee in this country's history, in conjunction with Trump's long history of sexist remarks, Clinton's current lead among women is 23-points. Given Trump's most recent move, it now appears as though he wants to expand that gap. In the past few weeks, there have been an increased number of reports of Roger Ailes sexually harassing women with whom he's worked. That number is up to at least 20. So what does Donald Trump decide to do after Ailes gets forced out of Fox News? Hire Ailes as an adviser to aid him in the coming debates with the first female presiden

The week in Trump backer screw-ups

It's been a rough week for Donald Trump backers. Not only have his poll numbers dipped, many of his supporters have publicly displayed their lack of knowledge with regard to history and the English language. Here are just a few of the highlights (or lowlights, I suppose): 1) On CNN, Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson anchor Victor Blackwell, "Remember, we weren’t even in Afghanistan by this time. Barack Obama went into Afghanistan, creating another problem.” Let's see here... We invaded Afghanistan on October 7th of 2001; President Barack Obama was inaugurated on January 20th of 2009; George W. Bush was president at the time of the invasion. Hmm... Did 7 years disappear from us? Am I really only 28? Did Bush's presidency never happen? Did I take the blue or the red pill? Ah, nevermind. Ms. Pierson apparently knows history like Donald Trump knows monogamy. 2) Katrina Pierson told the Fox Business Network the following: "The voters want someone that’s gonna

Standing up for Ellen DeGeneres

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has come under recent fire for a tweet she posted of herself riding on the back of the fastest man in the world, Olympic gold medal regular Usain Bolt, with the caption, "This is how I'm running errands from now on." This led to her getting blasted on Twitter, as many proclaimed her post to be racist. I'm sorry, but this is another example of the PC-police going too far. I'm typically all for political correctness, as I think every person, regardless of their age, gender, skin color, creed, or orientation, should be treated with respect. However, when a joke is at the expense of a person's actions and not their race, yet we find a way to insert race into the equation, that's political correctness gone too far. The common denominator in this post was the athlete's speed, not his/her race. Usain Bolt is an incredible runner, arguably the best in the world, and after he won his 3rd consecutive gold medal in the 100 meter,

#FakeOlympicHistory

I had a bit of fun with the trending hashtag #FakeOlympicHistory on Twitter yesterday. Here are my posts, ordered from the most to the least popular (all my tweets can be seen at this link - https://twitter.com/CraigRozniecki): 1) Trump became quite saddened when he discovered that fencing didn't involve building a wall along the Mexican border. #FakeOlympicHistory 362 Likes, 145 Retweets 2) Trump once said, "Gold medals are like super easy, so long as someone gives me one of theirs. Piece of cake, folks." #FakeOlympicHistory 131 Likes, 46 Retweets 3) Ben Carson once fell asleep while running the 400M. #FakeOlympicHistory 116 Likes, 34 Retweets 4) After hearing some 3rd place finishers yell, "Bronze Medals Matter (too)," GOPers shouted back, "All Medals Matter!" #FakeOlympicHistory 75 Likes, 26 Retweets 5) Donald Trump once started a petition which proposed that gold medals would be replaced with orange medals. #FakeOlympicHistory 4

A 5-star book review!

I just received this great review and felt the need to share it: "Delivers the LOLs! (5 out of 5 stars) In 'LOL at the GOP, Volume 4,' Craig Rozniecki exposes the hilarity that is the Grand Old Party. With deft comedic skill, Rozniecki reveals absurdities of the "guns cuz God" gang. While successfully employing humor as a tool, this work does much to enlighten one to the overwhelming ironies of GOP positions...all while making your sides hurt from laughter! At once both lighthearted and devilishly sardonic, Rozniecki takes a swing at the Conservative belief system, connects, and hits it out of the park. He will crack you up from page one all the way through to the final word. 'LOL at the GOP' is the perfect antidote for this current stress inducing election season, whichever side of the aisle you're on. It's a politically incorrect (popular among Conservatives) look at the GOP and is sure to have you LOL-ing!" https://www.amazon.co

Forgetful moments with Donald Trump

During a recent speech in Ashburn, Virginia, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump appeared to forget where he was, as he said, "You're doing lousy over here, by the way, I hate to tell you. Anybody used to work for Smithfield? ... Stanley Furniture closed its plant..." Actually, Ashburn is located in Loudon County, which is the wealthiest county in the country. Not only that, Smithfield is located in Hampton Roads, which is approximately three hours from Ashburn. If that wasn't enough, Stanley Furniture is located in North Carolina. Given Trump's seeming lack of awareness when it comes to geography, expect him to utter these lines at the following locations at some point during his campaign: Location: Detroit, Michigan Trump: "So this was where country music got started, eh? I like me some country, especially Johnny Money, Billy Cyrus the Virus, and Garth Algar. Good stuff right there!" Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Trump: "

Donald Trump vs. a Crying Baby

The question of the day is, "How long can he go?" During his campaign, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has gone after the following demographics: Muslims, Mexicans, women, LGBTs, "the" blacks, the disabled, POWs, the press, immigrants, Jews, the other Republican candidates, Democratic candidates, fact-checkers, the current president and administration, former presidents and administrations, opponents' families, and now you can add babies to the seemingly never-ending list. At a recent rally in Ashburn, Virginia, Trump melt the need to comment about a crying baby in the audience, and started off in a pleasant tone, as he said the following: "I love babies. I hear that baby cry, I like it. What a baby. What a beautiful baby. Don't worry, don't worry. The mom's running around, like, don't worry about it, you know. It's young and beautiful and healthy and that's what we want." Not long after those comments, though

Donald Trump doesn't speak "good"

Donald Trump once said,"I know words. I have the best words." Let's put that theory to the test, shall we? While recently speaking to Fox News host Sean Hannity, Trump said this: "The media is very unfair. They're very biased, You look at The New York Times, I mean, the fail - I call it 'The Failing New York Times' because it won't be in business for another, probably more than a few years unless somebody goes in and buys it and wants to lose a lot of money. But The New York Times is so unfair. I mean they write three, four articles about me a day. No matter how good I do on something, they'll never write good. They don't write good. They have people over there, like Maggie Haberman and others, they don't - they don't write good. They don't know how to write good." Whether that claim is true or not, one thing is for certain - Donald Trump doesn't know how to speak "good." He thinks so, though, which makes i

Katrina Pierson needs a history lesson!

Donald Trump spokesperson, Katrina Pierson, had some interesting words for CNN's Wolf Blitzer in a recent episode of The Situation Room , as she said this: "Donald Trump never voted for the Iraq War. Hillary Clinton did. And then she didn't support the troops to have what they need. It was under Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton that changed the rules of engagement that probably cost his [Captain Humayun Khan] life." There's only one problem with that statement - Captain Humayun Khan died in 2004, 4+ years before Barack Obama entered the Oval Office. Besides that misstep with chronology, Ms. Pierson was right on the money! Due to her seeming lack of knowledge with regard to history or how time works, expect her to say the following at some point in the future: - "If Trump had built a big beautiful wall in 1987, it would have prevented the Holocaust." - "The Oscar moment I remember most is when Nickelback won the award for Best Original Screen

"The Tracy Fort Show" (for the week of 8/1/16 - 8/7/16)

For those that were wondering, Tracy Fort and I have decided to take the week off to recover from the two crazy weeks of convention coverage and to try and take the next steps necessary to help the show grow. We'll be sure to update all our listeners on these changes and future shows when we finalize matters. Donald Trump writes horoscopes

Given Donald Trump's tendency to turn his back on specifics in favor of the vague route, I have to imagine, if this whole presidency thing doesn't work out, he may opt to start writing horoscopes. Here's how I envision him writing them: Capricorn (Dec. 22 - Jan. 19): "You need to get serious about your future - like seriously serious. Stand in front of a mirror today and say, 'Time to get serious.' If the mirror doesn't talk back, you get three wishes or something. If it does talk back, you may need to see a doctor like I did." Aquarius (Jan. 20 - Feb. 18): "You could go this way or the other way. If you go this way, be smart about it. If you go the other way, be even more smarter. I remember when I went both ways. It was just a college phase, but anyway..." Pisces (Feb. 19 - Mar. 20): "Like that Costner dude said one time, 'If you give it, he will come.' In other words, if you give it, he will come, you know? Yeah...&qu

According to Donald Trump, he's the biggest winner among losers

As most economists would tell you, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has a problem with numbers: An increased debt means a decreased debt, a lower minimum wage is equivalent to a higher minimum wage, 2 + 2 = 7, etc. Segueing from that, let's look at the two presidential nominees' July fundraising totals: Hillary Clinton: $90 million Donald Trump: $35.8 million Difference: +$54.2 million for Clinton/-$54.2 million for Trump What was Trump's response? Only this: "It's gonna be announced tomorrow or the next day: we've raised, we think, about $35.8 million. This is unheard of for Republicans, $35.8 million." Actually, that's not true at all. At this time during the 2012 election season, then Republican nominee Mitt Romney raised $101 million, $65.2 million more than The Donald (2.82 times more). Given Trump's seeming lack of math skills, expect him to say the following at some point: - "I won 18 states. This is unheard

Donald Trump's ironic fight against pornography

So, Donald Trump has signed a pledge to fight against internet pornography. No, really. You can stop laughing now. Okay, I'll give you five more minutes. :: gives you ten minutes :: Okay, I'm back. Get all that laughing out of your system? Good. The reason this anti-pornography pledge is so funny is the fact Donald Trump appeared on the cover of Playboy  magazine in 1990 (long before nude pictures were banned); his 3rd wife, Melania, has taken nude girl-on-girl photos; the GOP nominee has admitted to being unfaithful to at least two of his three wives and sleeping around quite a bit during his day, often times with married women, etc. Given the reality of Mr. Trump's history with marriage, infidelity, and pornography, what he's now essentially saying is this: "I was once the face of a magazine where, if kids flipped through the pages, they could see lots, and I mean lots of vaginas, breasts, and asses. I'm against gay stuff, but think my 3rd wife, Melan
