RIP The Whitewashing of Charlie Kirk

It's absolutely awful what happened to Charlie Kirk, but enough with the whitewashing. Two things can be true at once: 1) Kirk's assassination was a grave tragedy and 2) Kirk was an awful person. That doesn't mean he deserved to die. He didn't. But it also doesn't mean he deserves to be treated like a saint. He wasn't.  Here are just a few of his quotes: - “We must also be real. We must be honest with the population. Having an armed citizenry comes with a price, and that is part of liberty... We need to be very clear that you’re not going to get gun deaths to zero. It will not happen. But I think it’s worth it. I think it’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year, so that we can have the Second Amendment." - “I can’t stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made-up, new age term that does a lot of damage.” - “They (Black people) were actually better in the 1940s. It was bad. It was evil. But what happened? Som...

Brave Like Meg - a fundraiser for cancer research

A high school friend of mine recently created a Facebook page, dedicated to her twin sister, who sadly passed of brain cancer. All proceeds will be going to the National Brain Tumor Society, to help further research and treatment, in order to save people's lives moving forward. All donations would be greatly appreciated, but if you're unable to do so, simply reposting this would be quite helpful as well. Thank you, in advance, and best wishes to any/everyone fighting cancer. We're all in this fight together. https://www.facebook.com/donate/2137849060071477/2137849086738141/

The Top Ten Potential Announcements from Donald Trump at 2 pm Today

The Top Ten Potential Announcements from Donald Trump at 2 pm Today 10. After bench-pressing a 1-lb. dumbbell, he'll look straight into the camera and declare, "I'm the strongest man in the world, bigly." 9. Attempting to prove he's in good health, he'll give the hokey pokey his best effort, but will be unable to turn himself around. He'll then claim the hokey pokey is "rigged." 8. He found Jesus, while staring into a gold mirror. 7. That he'll soon be joining Jonathan Silverman and Andrew McCarthy in the film, "Weekend at Donnie's." 6. That he's sick, and the only way to cure what he has is via horse-dewormer and injecting disinfectant. 5. To quell speculation, he'll announce that the Epstein Files can't be released, because he's being audited. 4. He's renaming the 'Indian Ocean' the 'Cleveland Ocean.' 3. He'll release hard evidence, which will distract the public's attention from the...

Twitter-Talk with a MAGA

MAGA: "Trump had the best economy ever in his first term and it's even better in his second!" Me: Trump was the first president since Herbert Hoover, in 1933, to leave office with fewer jobs than were present when he entered it. The past three months have equaled the lowest job-creation in such a span since, wait for it, COVID. MAGA: "Fake news! Fake numbers!" Me: :: I provide evidence to prove they're accurate :: MAGA: "Whatever. It's Congress that determines jobs anyway, not the president. Besides, Trump got bad economies from both O'Bummer and Slow Joe!" Me: I thought you said presidents don't determine jobs, so how can Obama or Biden be responsible for the economies Trump inherited? MAGA: "But that's different." Me: How so? Regardless, you've got things backwards. Obama inherited the largest recession since the Great Depression. Biden inherited the worst pandemic since the Spanish flu. Guess what? Both left Trump w...

Another back-and-forth with a MAGA

Here's a back-and-forth I had with a MAGA recently... MAGA: "The earth is flat and cancer is made up." Me: WTF are you talking about?!? The earth is round and cancer is most certainly not made up. MAGA: "You sound like a Democrat, believe everything you're told." Me: Who told you the earth was flat and cancer was made up? MAGA: "Do your own research. I did mine." Me: I'm asking you where you researched. MAGA: "That's for you to figure out." Me: Let me guess, it was some tinfoil-hat wearing conspiracy theorist on YouTube. MAGA: "You call them conspiracies. I call them truth." Me: These conspiracies have been debunked more times than Einstein could count. MAGA: "Debunk? What's that?" Me: To disprove MAGA: "Vaccines aren't cures; they treat symptoms." Me: What about polio? MAGA: "What about it? It's coming back." Me: Why is that? Anti-vaxxers. MAGA: "Modern medicine has no purp...

Graphic design is harder than it looks. I know this because I suck at it." "The shirts are awesome! The price is smart. Some stores asking $40+ for t shirts. The Groucho one made me giggle a bit because I love his quote about not wanting to join a club who would have him as a member. 😏...

New comments on my ant-Trump/anti-MAGA shirt store, "When Shirtz Hit the Fan"

I added two more anti-Trump/anti-MAGA shirts to my online shop, "When Shirtz Hit the Fan," yesterday. Here are the comments I've already received on them: - "Haha, as always, they are funny" - "Good job" - " 🔥 😂 " The first shirt plays off the Dos Equis commercials of old, where lil Donnie says, "I don't always care about D.C. crime. But when I do, I usually prefer to pardon 1,600 domestic terrorists." https://www.etsy.com/listing/4350830348/don-equis?ref=shop_home_active_2&logging_key=27a79ac833ac3406b0f406c064edbea2e1d9b1de%3A4350830348 For the other, I poked fun at MAGA anti-vaxxers, as the shirt says, "According to MAGA, these didn't exist prior to COVID shots: hangovers, papercuts, fevers, cowbell, bad drivers, tornadoes, barking dogs, holding calls, needles, toilet paper, America Online, Africa, Toto, numbers, letters, Starbucks." https://www.etsy.com/listing/4350880810/funny-covid-shot-t-shirt?ref=shop...
