BREAKING NEWS: Donald Trump told the truth! Water is indeed wet!

Donald Trump told the truth today. I believe it may have been the first time since he entered the White House that such a thing has occurred. Now, I don't want to give the guy too much credit here, for his honest moment still made him come across like a bumbling idiot. Let me give you a full taste of Trump's moment of truth:

"I just wanna thank all of the incredible men and women who have done such a great job in helping with Florence. This is a tough hurricane, one of the wettest we've ever seen from the standpoint of water. Rarely have we had an experience like it, and it certainly is not good, but the people of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, all of the areas affected, you've been incredible. There's been a loss of life, and may God be with them and their families. That's a tough one, it's tough to understand, but this has been a really difficult period of time for a lot of people. FEMA, the job you've done, the military, uh, Coast Guard, what you've done in saving so many lives has been really something special. Law enforcement always. Again, I just wanna thank everybody for doing such a great job with a very difficult situation. Florence has been a nasty one, a big one, like that area certainly has never seen before. So the waters are still rising. Listen to your state and local authorities, be patient and alert, and God bless you."

Never did I think the first honest statement emanating from the lips of Donald Trump since he became president would be, "So, like yeah, water is wet, you know? Bigly wet! Fo' real wet! Like totally wet! Wetter than wet! Water is so wet, it makes wet look dry, believe me!"

I can just hear Trump using the following quote as a 2020 campaign rally closer:

"Stocks have never been higher; jobs have never been better; denuking North Koreas has never been easier; water has never been wetter!"

Given Trump's insightful comment, expect him to say (or tweet) the following before the 2020 election:

- "It's one of the woodiest woodies I've ever seen, from the standpoint of Woody Woodpecker."

- "From the standpoint of the windstorm, it has to be one of the windiest winds we've ever seen, believe me!"

- "When it comes to dryness, the desert is like really really dry you know?"

Donald Trump is the stupidest we've ever witnessed, from the standpoint of presidents, or even just people in general.

Boycotting jukeboxes because of TouchTunes

I love music and enjoy hitting the bar(s) over the weekend, so naturally, when the mood strikes me, I've never been coy about playing some songs on the jukebox. This past Thursday, a friend of mine turned 50, so several friends of her's, including myself, all met up to celebrate the occasion. At around 9:30, a friend of mine and I both chipped in $5 to play some songs on the jukebox. Four hours and 231 skips later, we gave up on hearing the songs we had selected, and went home knowing we had just wasted $5. This wasn't the first time such a thing had happened to me (and many others), and due to that, I'll be boycotting jukeboxes. Why? The scam known as TouchTunes. You see, here's how the plot typically breaks down. A person (or group of people) downloads the TouchTunes app on his/her phone, consumes one too many adult beverages, and due to this, has less care for spending extra money to hear the songs of their choosing right NOW. That's the thing with TouchTun...

Face guarding is legal in college football and the NFL

I just wanted to remind fans and announcers especially, that face guarding is legal in both college football and the NFL. It all comes down to contact. So long as a defender doesn't make contact with an intended receiver, he doesn't have to turn around to play the ball. I can't tell you how many times every week I hear announcers talk about face guarding being a penalty. It's not. I even heard one announcer yesterday state, "If the defender doesn't turn around and play the ball, the ref will call pass interference every time." That's simply not true. Courtesy of referee Bill LeMonnier, he says this with regard to the rule at the college level (answered on 8/12/13): "NCAA rules on pass interference require the face guarding to have contact to be a foul. No contact, no foul by NCAA rules." In the NFL rule book, this is written:  "Actions that constitute defensive pass interference include but are not limited to: (a) Contact by a ...
