My Updated GOP Candidate Rankings (down to 6...)

Just a week ago, I updated my rankings at this link: http://thekind-heartedsmartaleck.blogspot.com/2016/02/my-updated-gop-candidate-rankings-down.html

A week later, we've gone from 9 to 6 candidates, as Chris Christie, Carly Fiorina, and Jim Gilmore have all suspended their campaigns. Following the 9th GOP debate last night, here are my updated rankings:

6) Ted Cruz (up 3 spots): Cruz didn't have his best showing last night and still has that issue with a majority of Republicans hating him so much they use his face for dart practice. So, yeah, that could be a problem going forward for the Texas senator...

5) Marco Rubio (up 3 spots): The Florida senator may not have repeated himself quite as much last night as he had in the previous debate, but he still came across as Rubio Roboto on a number of occasions.

4) Ben Carson (up 2 spots): The former neurosurgeon slept through most of the two-hour debate, but sadly, in the process, wound up looking like one of the more sane GOP candidates.

3) Donald Trump (up 2 spots): It may only be a matter of time before The Donald throws an uppercut at both Bush and Cruz while on the debate stage. No, following election season, I can't for the life of me see the three of them being featured in a remake of The Three Amigos.

2) Jeb Bush (even): Jeb! came out swinging last night. There were times when these swings landed and many quietly mumbled, "Where the hell has this guy been?" yet there were others which missed and made the former Florida governor appear desperate and whiny. If whining = winning, Jeb! can enthusiastically say, "Mission accomplished!"

1) John Kasich (even): Once again, the Ohio governor appeared to be the most rational and positive candidate on the debate stage. Even when Cruz, Rubio, Trump, and Bush were slinging mud at one another, Kasich stayed above the fray, which was refreshing to see.

My hopeful 2016 presidential election: Democrat Bernie Sanders vs. Republican John Kasich (no change)

My predicted 2016 presidential election: Democrat Hillary Clinton vs. Republican Donald Trump (no change)

Boycotting jukeboxes because of TouchTunes

I love music and enjoy hitting the bar(s) over the weekend, so naturally, when the mood strikes me, I've never been coy about playing some songs on the jukebox. This past Thursday, a friend of mine turned 50, so several friends of her's, including myself, all met up to celebrate the occasion. At around 9:30, a friend of mine and I both chipped in $5 to play some songs on the jukebox. Four hours and 231 skips later, we gave up on hearing the songs we had selected, and went home knowing we had just wasted $5. This wasn't the first time such a thing had happened to me (and many others), and due to that, I'll be boycotting jukeboxes. Why? The scam known as TouchTunes. You see, here's how the plot typically breaks down. A person (or group of people) downloads the TouchTunes app on his/her phone, consumes one too many adult beverages, and due to this, has less care for spending extra money to hear the songs of their choosing right NOW. That's the thing with TouchTun

The difference between "looking" and "checking out"

I may be way off with these numbers, but it's my approximation that at least 75% of individuals whom are involved in a serious relationship feel it's perfectly acceptable to "check out" members of the opposite sex they're not involved with. Meanwhile, approximately 25% either don't feel this is acceptable or aren't sure about the matter. I hadn't thought about this matter for a while, but since I've been dating a woman for about 8 months, the topic has been pondered about some. When reading or hearing others discuss this very issue, I often times hear comments similar to the following: "It's human nature to look." "There's nothing wrong with checking others out. I'm sure he/she does it too!" "It's fine to do it. Just don't tell your boyfriend/girlfriend about it or do it in front of them!" "It's natural to find people attractive." When observing the array of comments, I i
