Trumpsters want Colbert fired? Really? Oh, the irony...

Late Show host Stephen Colbert has recently come under fire from right-wingers due to some comments he made on Monday's show. As a result, #FireColbert trended on Twitter for a few hours last night. What were the comments Colbert uttered which triggered many Trumpsters? Well, after the CBS late-night show host aired a clip of Donald Trump refusing to answer a question posed by John Dickerson and asking him to leave, while Colbert said Dickerson was an extremely upright individual, he was not, and proceeded to say the following directed toward the president:

"Sir, you attract more skinheads than free Rogaine. You have more people marching against you than cancer. You talk like a sign language gorilla that got hit in the head. In fact, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin's c*ck holster."

That last bit is what angered Trumpsters, as many claimed Colbert's monologue was: "Hate speech" and "a homophobic slur," among other things, contending that if such a thing had been said about former President Obama, the presenter would be fired, and then attempting to compare Colbert's comment to the allegations against Bill O'Reilly.

First off, Bill O'Reilly's firing was due to him allegedly sexually harassing at least 7 women. No matter how distasteful one may find a joke, a joke about murder isn't nearly as bad as the murder itself.

Secondly, hate speech is defined as "speech which attacks a person or group on the basis of attributes such as gender, ethnic origin, religion, race, disability, or sexual orientation." How is making a joke about two anti-gay men being sexually involved an attack on them? Let's just ask Muslims the following question and see what they have to say regarding the matter: "Do you feel more under attack when someone tells a Muslim joke or when someone yells that you're terrorists, you don't belong here, and to go back to where you came from?"

Thirdly, isn't it more homophobic for Trumpsters to get offended by the thought of their hero being gay than a person making a joke that he is gay? The definition of the term homophobic is "having or showing a dislike of or prejudice against homosexual people." In Colbert's monologue, he wasn't suggesting that he's in any way unsupportive of the LGBT community. He was simply showcasing his dislike for two world leaders, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.

It's ironic that die-hard Trump supporters like to call progressives "snowflakes," because apparently we're too sensitive, yet while we had to deal with 8 years of racist and xenophobic comments at the expense of Barack Obama, they can't deal with this one joke. While I think Stephen Colbert might have gone over the line ever so slightly with his joke the other night, this wasn't the first Putin-and-Trump-might-be-lovers joke, won't be the last, and the comment paled in comparison to some of the lines Trump has uttered.

Stephen Colbert (host of the late-night comedy show, The Late Show): "Sir, you attract more skinheads than free Rogaine. You have more people marching against you than cancer. You talk like a sign language gorilla that got hit in the head. In fact, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin's c*ck holster."

Trumpsters: "Fire him!"

Donald Trump (at this point, a man running for the highest office in the land): "I moved on her like a bit*h, but I couldn't get there, and then she was married. Then all of a sudden I see her, she's now got the big phony tits and everything. ... I'm automatically attracted to beautiful [women] - I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything ... Grab  them by the pussy. You can do anything."

Trumpsters: "Make him president!"

Yes, according to Trumpsters, it's a bigger deal to joke about two anti-gay men being gay than it is to insinuate you regularly sexually assault women. With that kind of logic, while it's perfectly fine to confess to committing a murder, joking about that murder is going too far. Yeah, if anyone's a snowflake, it's Trumpsters, and mentally-deranged ones at that.

Boycotting jukeboxes because of TouchTunes

I love music and enjoy hitting the bar(s) over the weekend, so naturally, when the mood strikes me, I've never been coy about playing some songs on the jukebox. This past Thursday, a friend of mine turned 50, so several friends of her's, including myself, all met up to celebrate the occasion. At around 9:30, a friend of mine and I both chipped in $5 to play some songs on the jukebox. Four hours and 231 skips later, we gave up on hearing the songs we had selected, and went home knowing we had just wasted $5. This wasn't the first time such a thing had happened to me (and many others), and due to that, I'll be boycotting jukeboxes. Why? The scam known as TouchTunes. You see, here's how the plot typically breaks down. A person (or group of people) downloads the TouchTunes app on his/her phone, consumes one too many adult beverages, and due to this, has less care for spending extra money to hear the songs of their choosing right NOW. That's the thing with TouchTun

The difference between "looking" and "checking out"

I may be way off with these numbers, but it's my approximation that at least 75% of individuals whom are involved in a serious relationship feel it's perfectly acceptable to "check out" members of the opposite sex they're not involved with. Meanwhile, approximately 25% either don't feel this is acceptable or aren't sure about the matter. I hadn't thought about this matter for a while, but since I've been dating a woman for about 8 months, the topic has been pondered about some. When reading or hearing others discuss this very issue, I often times hear comments similar to the following: "It's human nature to look." "There's nothing wrong with checking others out. I'm sure he/she does it too!" "It's fine to do it. Just don't tell your boyfriend/girlfriend about it or do it in front of them!" "It's natural to find people attractive." When observing the array of comments, I i

The verdict is in. To no one's surprise, Jonathan Hoenig has been found guilty of being an idiot.

Just recently, when discussing the Michael Brown shooting and whether or not race had anything to do with it, Fox News contributor Jonathan Hoenig said, "You know who talks about race? Racists." One moment while I provide Mr. Hoenig with the well deserved slow-clap. :: slow-claps for two seconds :: So, that was quite the line by Mr. Hoenig, wasn't it? "You know who talks about race? Racists." Well, wasn't he just talking about race? So, by his own words, I guess that makes him a racist. Also, if he wants to be consistent, does this mean that people whom talk about gender are sexists and people whom talk about sexual orientation are homophobes? With that line of thinking, Hoenig would engage in the following back-and-forths: Hoenig: "So, who are you voting for?" A woman: "The Democratic candidate, because he's been adamant about his support for equal rights for women." Hoenig: "You sexist feminist nazi!"
