The Bonehead Article of the Week: "...Here's why conservative Christians are sticking with the president" by Marc Thiessen

Former George W. Bush speechwriter and current Fox News contributor, Marc Thiessen, wrote an article yesterday which I felt needed mentioning. The article is entitled, "...Here's why conservative Christians are sticking with the president," and here's how it begins:

"As '60 Minutes' prepares to air its interview with adult-film actress Stormy Daniels, conservative Christians are being accused of hypocrisy. How can so-called 'values voters' continue to stand with President Trump despite revelations that he allegedly had affairs with a porn star and a Playboy model, and paid them for their silence?

No doubt some Christian leaders have gone too far in rationalizing Trump's past personal behavior and excusing his offensive comments while in office. He is a deeply flawed man. But Trump does have one moral quality that deserves admiration: He keeps his promises."

That's right, ladies and gentlemen - Donald Trump's most moral quality is that he keeps his promises. Just ask his three wives and mistresses that... Let's see how Thiessen closed his piece before commenting further:

"Indeed, Trump has arguably done more in his first year in office to protect life and religious freedom than any modern president. Little wonder that religious conservatives stick with him despite the Daniels revelations. This is not to say that Christians don't think a culture of fidelity is important. But the culture of life is important too. So is a culture that is welcoming to religious believers rather than waging war on them.

No one upholds Trump as moral exemplar. He is not the most religious president we have ever had, but he may be the most pro-religion president. Christian conservatives are judging Trump not by his faith, but by his works. And when it comes to life and liberty, his works are good."

I see Mr. Thiessen has placed on his blinders to the fullest capacity. Donald Trump has bounced around on the abortion issue more than a pinball on speed. He's about as religious as a nihilist named Lucifer. The religion he unintentionally practices is Satanism (basically self-worship). If there was an image to portray the antithesis to Jesus, it'd be Donald Trump. He's alleged to have sexually violated at least 19 women; raped 1 woman; slept with a porn star during his 3rd wife's pregnancy; told young teenagers he was going to one day marry them; said he'd be dating his daughter if she wasn't, you know, his daughter; the list goes on and on and on. He's cheated on all three wives, broken at least 9 of the 10 Commandments (#6 is still in question), lies more than Pinocchio during a dare, etc. He's inspired anger, hate, and violence. He's fought against the life and liberty of the media. He's ducked responsibility faster than a cheetah flies out of a cannon. He's taken from the poor and given to the rich. He's stripped people of healthcare. He's attempting to endanger our environment, you know, "God's country." But yeah, he's the most pro-religion president in history. One moment while I reread the First Amendment of the Constitution and follow that up with Trump's rhetoric regarding Muslims. Donald Trump is pro-ignorance, pro-hate, pro-violence, pro-chaos, pro-prejudice, pro-fear, and pro-discrimination, but he's not pro-religion, unless your religion practices ignorance, hate, violence, chaos, prejudice, fear, and discrimination. If that's the religion you practice, Mr. Thiessen, so be it, but that doesn't make Trump pro-religion and that earns you the award for The Bonehead Article of the Week. Congratulations!

Boycotting jukeboxes because of TouchTunes

I love music and enjoy hitting the bar(s) over the weekend, so naturally, when the mood strikes me, I've never been coy about playing some songs on the jukebox. This past Thursday, a friend of mine turned 50, so several friends of her's, including myself, all met up to celebrate the occasion. At around 9:30, a friend of mine and I both chipped in $5 to play some songs on the jukebox. Four hours and 231 skips later, we gave up on hearing the songs we had selected, and went home knowing we had just wasted $5. This wasn't the first time such a thing had happened to me (and many others), and due to that, I'll be boycotting jukeboxes. Why? The scam known as TouchTunes. You see, here's how the plot typically breaks down. A person (or group of people) downloads the TouchTunes app on his/her phone, consumes one too many adult beverages, and due to this, has less care for spending extra money to hear the songs of their choosing right NOW. That's the thing with TouchTun

The difference between "looking" and "checking out"

I may be way off with these numbers, but it's my approximation that at least 75% of individuals whom are involved in a serious relationship feel it's perfectly acceptable to "check out" members of the opposite sex they're not involved with. Meanwhile, approximately 25% either don't feel this is acceptable or aren't sure about the matter. I hadn't thought about this matter for a while, but since I've been dating a woman for about 8 months, the topic has been pondered about some. When reading or hearing others discuss this very issue, I often times hear comments similar to the following: "It's human nature to look." "There's nothing wrong with checking others out. I'm sure he/she does it too!" "It's fine to do it. Just don't tell your boyfriend/girlfriend about it or do it in front of them!" "It's natural to find people attractive." When observing the array of comments, I i

The verdict is in. To no one's surprise, Jonathan Hoenig has been found guilty of being an idiot.

Just recently, when discussing the Michael Brown shooting and whether or not race had anything to do with it, Fox News contributor Jonathan Hoenig said, "You know who talks about race? Racists." One moment while I provide Mr. Hoenig with the well deserved slow-clap. :: slow-claps for two seconds :: So, that was quite the line by Mr. Hoenig, wasn't it? "You know who talks about race? Racists." Well, wasn't he just talking about race? So, by his own words, I guess that makes him a racist. Also, if he wants to be consistent, does this mean that people whom talk about gender are sexists and people whom talk about sexual orientation are homophobes? With that line of thinking, Hoenig would engage in the following back-and-forths: Hoenig: "So, who are you voting for?" A woman: "The Democratic candidate, because he's been adamant about his support for equal rights for women." Hoenig: "You sexist feminist nazi!"
