All demographics believe in "easy" voting, except...

The Pew Research Center just released the results to a poll they conducted with regard to voting. I found the results to be interesting for the simple fact all demographics agreed with each other, except for one. Pew asked participants whether they felt that citizens should register ahead of time in order to vote or if everything possible should be done to make it easy for citizens to vote. All of the following demographics agreed with the latter approach, and I'll list the numbers accordingly:

Democrat: 84/15 (+69)
Black: 79/19 (+60)
18-29: 71/27 (+44)
Hispanic: 64/35 (+29)
Coll grad+: 62/36 (+26)
Women: 62/37 (+25)
HS or less: 61/37 (+24)
Total: 59/39 (+20)
30-49: 59/40 (+19)
Independent: 57/41 (+16)
Men: 56/41 (+15)
50-64: 54/43 (+11)
65+: 54/43 (+11)
White: 54/44 (+10)
Some coll: 53/44 (+9)

Look at those numbers again. Here are 14 demographics, as well as the total, who all agree that we should do everything in our power to make voting easy for citizens on election day. People of all genders, all age ranges, all races, and all education levels agree on this, as well as Independents and Democrats. Who's the one dissenter? Republicans. Not only is the Republican Party the lone dissenter here, the gap is astounding!

The lowest net gap of any demographic on the before-mentioned list is with regard to those who have "some college" experience, where it's a net +9. That's a full 37 points higher than the GOP's net, which sits at -28, as just 35% of Republicans support the idea of making voting easy for all citizens on election day, whereas 63% feel that's not the case.

The Republican Party likes to pride itself on being the party of freedom, yet due to their fear of losing elections because of the ever diversifying electorate, they do everything they can to make voting as difficult as humanly possible. Look at the numbers again. The GOP's net is a full 44 points behind Independents, 48 points behind the total, and 97 points behind Democrats. Something is seriously wrong with those numbers. If the GOP truly believes in freedom, they'll stop trying to prevent democracy. In the meantime, in order to show them we disapprove of their voter suppression philosophy and tactics, we need to vote them out of office, to empower the voice of the people over those attempting to make us voiceless.

Boycotting jukeboxes because of TouchTunes

I love music and enjoy hitting the bar(s) over the weekend, so naturally, when the mood strikes me, I've never been coy about playing some songs on the jukebox. This past Thursday, a friend of mine turned 50, so several friends of her's, including myself, all met up to celebrate the occasion. At around 9:30, a friend of mine and I both chipped in $5 to play some songs on the jukebox. Four hours and 231 skips later, we gave up on hearing the songs we had selected, and went home knowing we had just wasted $5. This wasn't the first time such a thing had happened to me (and many others), and due to that, I'll be boycotting jukeboxes. Why? The scam known as TouchTunes. You see, here's how the plot typically breaks down. A person (or group of people) downloads the TouchTunes app on his/her phone, consumes one too many adult beverages, and due to this, has less care for spending extra money to hear the songs of their choosing right NOW. That's the thing with TouchTun...

Trump's Lie Tally at the CNN Debate

1) "We had the greatest economy in the history of our country. We had never done so well. Every – everybody was amazed by it. Other countries were copying us." 2) "But the thing we never got the credit for, and we should have, is getting us out of that COVID mess." 3) "The only jobs he created are for illegal immigrants and bounceback jobs; they’re bounced back from the COVID." 4) "Not going to drive them higher. It’s just going to cause countries that have been ripping us off for years, like China and many others, in all fairness to China – it’s going to just force them to pay us a lot of money, reduce our deficit tremendously, and give us a lot of power for other things." (tariffs) 5) "He also said he inherited 9 percent inflation." 6) "No, he inherited almost no inflation and it stayed that way for 14 months. And then it blew up under his leadership, because they spent money like a bunch of people that didn’t know what t...
