Eric Bolling once again proves himself to be an idiot

April Fools' Day may have been yesterday and only be celebrated once a year, but co-host of Fox News' The Five, Eric Bolling, seems to practice the holiday on any day ending in -y. On a recent episode of The Five, Bolling, along with fellow co-hosts Dana Perino, Greg Gutfeld, and Juan Williams got into the following discussion:

Bolling: "The first quarter in the books yesterday or today, right? Last day of the quarter. So we did a little bit of a scorecard going -- comparing the Trump administration to Obama one quarter in. Consume confidence --"

Dana Perino: "That's not fair."

Bolling: "-- to 27. Look at these numbers; it's insane."

Perino: "That's not fair."

Bolling: "Take it full screen again. Here, how about this unemployment rate? 4.7 to 8.3. How about this one? Average home price, oh my gosh --"

Perino: "So unfair."

Bolling: "-- it's not even close. $390,000 versus $258 and --"

Greg Gutfeld: "This is essentially all from Obama."

Bolling: "$26 an hour average hourly wage versus $22 Obama."

Perino: "You could actually change it to "Obama" and "Bush."

Bolling: "I am going to, go ahead."

Juan Williams: "It's a good thing you don't talk about approval numbers, let's see how Obama was doing less than a hundred days in."

Perino: "That's a good point Juan."

Bolling: "We're getting so tired of winning."

This has to be the stupidest pro-Trump/anti-Obama I've heard to this point in my life. Barack Obama exited the Oval Office 2.5 months ago after spending 8 years there. Donald Trump has taken over the reigns these past 2.5 months. Like Dana Perino stated, the chart could (should) have read Obama and Bush, not Trump and Obama, and while Eric Bolling may not realize it, while he was trying to make Donald Trump appear superior to Barack Obama, what he unintentionally did was showcase how good of a president Barack Obama was. Here's how the chart actually read:

When Obama's tenure started:

- Consumer Confidence: 27

- Unemployment rate: 8.3%

- Average Home Price: $258,000

- Average Hourly Wages: $22.00 per hour

When Obama's tenure ended:

- Consumer Confidence: 126 (increase of 99)

- Unemployment rate: 4.7% (decrease of 3.6%)

- Average Home Price: $390,400 (increase of $132,400)

- Average Hourly Wages: $26,00 per hour (increase of $4.00 per hour)

In addition to Bolling accidentally showcasing how effective of a president Barack Obama was, he also disproved Donald Trump's claim that he was handed a "mess." As the chart showed, if anyone was handed a mess, it was Barack Obama.

Given Bolling's logic, or lack there of, if UConn women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma called it quits after this year and his replacement took over a national championship-worthy team, going 30-4 in the process, Bolling would say, "Look, Auriemma may have won 11 national championships, but in his first year, his team was 12-15, and this new guy went 30-4, so this new guy is obviously a better coach than Auriemma!" No, the only obvious thing here is Eric Bolling is an idiot.

Boycotting jukeboxes because of TouchTunes

I love music and enjoy hitting the bar(s) over the weekend, so naturally, when the mood strikes me, I've never been coy about playing some songs on the jukebox. This past Thursday, a friend of mine turned 50, so several friends of her's, including myself, all met up to celebrate the occasion. At around 9:30, a friend of mine and I both chipped in $5 to play some songs on the jukebox. Four hours and 231 skips later, we gave up on hearing the songs we had selected, and went home knowing we had just wasted $5. This wasn't the first time such a thing had happened to me (and many others), and due to that, I'll be boycotting jukeboxes. Why? The scam known as TouchTunes. You see, here's how the plot typically breaks down. A person (or group of people) downloads the TouchTunes app on his/her phone, consumes one too many adult beverages, and due to this, has less care for spending extra money to hear the songs of their choosing right NOW. That's the thing with TouchTun...

Face guarding is legal in college football and the NFL

I just wanted to remind fans and announcers especially, that face guarding is legal in both college football and the NFL. It all comes down to contact. So long as a defender doesn't make contact with an intended receiver, he doesn't have to turn around to play the ball. I can't tell you how many times every week I hear announcers talk about face guarding being a penalty. It's not. I even heard one announcer yesterday state, "If the defender doesn't turn around and play the ball, the ref will call pass interference every time." That's simply not true. Courtesy of referee Bill LeMonnier, he says this with regard to the rule at the college level (answered on 8/12/13): "NCAA rules on pass interference require the face guarding to have contact to be a foul. No contact, no foul by NCAA rules." In the NFL rule book, this is written:  "Actions that constitute defensive pass interference include but are not limited to: (a) Contact by a ...
