As Donald Trump would put it, the playoffs have been "sad!"

I don't care how big of a football fan you are, college or pro, the playoffs this year have reeked more than a freshly sprayed skunk going on a shower strike. Let me run down the scores of these 13 games:

NCAA
Alabama 24 Washington 7
Clemson 31 Ohio State 0
Clemson 35 Alabama 31
Total score: 90 - 38 = 52 (averages of 30.0 -  12.7 = 17.3)

NFL
Houston 27 Oakland 14
Pittsburgh 30 Miami 12
Seattle 26 Detroit 6
Green Bay 38 NY Giants 13
Atlanta 36 Seattle 20
New England 34 Houston 16
Green Bay 34 Dallas 31
Pittsburgh 18 Kansas City 16
Atlanta 44 Green Bay 21
New England 36 Pittsburgh 17
Total score: 323 - 175 = 148 (averages of 32.3 - 17.5 = 14.8)
Combined scores: 413 - 213 = 200 (averages of 31.8 - 16.4 = 15.4)

Of the 13 playoff games that have been played thus far, only 3 have been decided by one possession (23.1%), while 8 have been decided by three possessions or more (61.5%). If we exclude the three one-possession games, the combined score of these 10 playoff games is 326-135, which averages out to 32.6 - 13.5, nearly a 20-point margin.

There were plenty of exciting moments throughout the course of both the college and NFL seasons and those moments shouldn't be diminished because of the postseason. Having said that though, while the appetizer and main course were satisfactory, the dessert has been quite disappointing. Hopefully, like in the national championship between Clemson and Alabama, the Super Bowl makes up for the snoozers we've witnessed the rest of this postseason.

Boycotting jukeboxes because of TouchTunes

I love music and enjoy hitting the bar(s) over the weekend, so naturally, when the mood strikes me, I've never been coy about playing some songs on the jukebox. This past Thursday, a friend of mine turned 50, so several friends of her's, including myself, all met up to celebrate the occasion. At around 9:30, a friend of mine and I both chipped in $5 to play some songs on the jukebox. Four hours and 231 skips later, we gave up on hearing the songs we had selected, and went home knowing we had just wasted $5. This wasn't the first time such a thing had happened to me (and many others), and due to that, I'll be boycotting jukeboxes. Why? The scam known as TouchTunes. You see, here's how the plot typically breaks down. A person (or group of people) downloads the TouchTunes app on his/her phone, consumes one too many adult beverages, and due to this, has less care for spending extra money to hear the songs of their choosing right NOW. That's the thing with TouchTun...

Trump's Lie Tally at the CNN Debate

1) "We had the greatest economy in the history of our country. We had never done so well. Every – everybody was amazed by it. Other countries were copying us." 2) "But the thing we never got the credit for, and we should have, is getting us out of that COVID mess." 3) "The only jobs he created are for illegal immigrants and bounceback jobs; they’re bounced back from the COVID." 4) "Not going to drive them higher. It’s just going to cause countries that have been ripping us off for years, like China and many others, in all fairness to China – it’s going to just force them to pay us a lot of money, reduce our deficit tremendously, and give us a lot of power for other things." (tariffs) 5) "He also said he inherited 9 percent inflation." 6) "No, he inherited almost no inflation and it stayed that way for 14 months. And then it blew up under his leadership, because they spent money like a bunch of people that didn’t know what t...
