The latest episode of my podcast ("I Feel Snitty"), entitled "'34 Felony Crackdown' (parody based off Green Day's song '21st Century Breakdown' is now available!

Here are the lyrics:

“34 Felony Crackdown”

[Part I]

Whoo, whoo-whoo, whoo-whoo

Born in a mansion, the son of a king

His shadow was opportunity

All the failures were greeted with a shrug

No consequences for all his f*ck-ups

The three-millionth time was no charm

The truth hatched, he’s more screwed than a chick at a farm

34 felony crackdown

There’s no misdemeanors to be found

His life of crime finally has a price

A rat behind bars, afraid of the mice

Whoo, whoo-whoo, whoo-whoo

His vests were always legal-proof

His Pampers, rat-hair, and clip-on ties too

Thought he’d get away with everything

Then he got smacked on the a$$ by Stormy

The three-millionth time was no charm

The truth hatched, he’s more screwed than a chick at a farm

34 felony crackdown

There’s no misdemeanors to be found

His life of crime finally has a price

A rat behind bars, afraid of the mice

[Part 2]

We are his, we are his loyal dumb sheep

Do all he says, still believe we are free

If he says “Inject Tide!” to clean our clothes

We’ll get naked and ask, “Where is the needle?!?”

The mob is where I felt I belonged

Took “Goodfellas” lit’rally

So I proudly joined the dotards and dons

Where I questioned authority

Where I never questioned authority (No!)

What they say will always go

Unless a whacking is on your bucket list

Then, by all means, just say NO!

No!

No!

No!

I don’t want to die, so I’ll trust and obey

Nod, smile, nod, smile, nod, smile, repeat

Hopefully my neck and face don’t hurt again

So many times I can say cheese

But for freedom that’s a minor price to pay (Shh!)

Sacrifice life to look creepy

Made to believe I’m free in mind, heart, and soul

No thoughts, feelings inside me

I know I am right

Everyone else is wrong

For the truth is on my side

On Opposite Day

[Part III]

Baa, sheep, in unison, baa, sheep

Making loud noises, all volume, no substance

Blah, sheep, in unison, blah, sheep

You’re the “Dumbfellas”: The dotards and dons

Boycotting jukeboxes because of TouchTunes

I love music and enjoy hitting the bar(s) over the weekend, so naturally, when the mood strikes me, I've never been coy about playing some songs on the jukebox. This past Thursday, a friend of mine turned 50, so several friends of her's, including myself, all met up to celebrate the occasion. At around 9:30, a friend of mine and I both chipped in $5 to play some songs on the jukebox. Four hours and 231 skips later, we gave up on hearing the songs we had selected, and went home knowing we had just wasted $5. This wasn't the first time such a thing had happened to me (and many others), and due to that, I'll be boycotting jukeboxes. Why? The scam known as TouchTunes. You see, here's how the plot typically breaks down. A person (or group of people) downloads the TouchTunes app on his/her phone, consumes one too many adult beverages, and due to this, has less care for spending extra money to hear the songs of their choosing right NOW. That's the thing with TouchTun...

The difference between "looking" and "checking out"

I may be way off with these numbers, but it's my approximation that at least 75% of individuals whom are involved in a serious relationship feel it's perfectly acceptable to "check out" members of the opposite sex they're not involved with. Meanwhile, approximately 25% either don't feel this is acceptable or aren't sure about the matter. I hadn't thought about this matter for a while, but since I've been dating a woman for about 8 months, the topic has been pondered about some. When reading or hearing others discuss this very issue, I often times hear comments similar to the following: "It's human nature to look." "There's nothing wrong with checking others out. I'm sure he/she does it too!" "It's fine to do it. Just don't tell your boyfriend/girlfriend about it or do it in front of them!" "It's natural to find people attractive." When observing the array of comments, I i...
