It really made me laugh how so much of the media, especially Fox News, focused a great deal of their attention on Beyonce's lip-syncing the National Anthem at Barack Obama's inauguration.
I can understand both sides of the argument. I can understand some being severely disappointed in discovering that Beyonce did in fact lip-sync the National Anthem. However, I can also understand her perspective, in wanting the performance to be perfect and not being able to accurately predict the weather and how it would effect her vocals. In the grand scheme of things, though, I don't see it as a huge deal.
Quite a bit has transpired over the past few weeks of pretty significant importance. We've heard about new developments in/with regard to: Iran, North Korea, Syria, Guantanamo, healthcare reform, a jobs report, shootings, the Benghazi hearing, gun control legislation, etc. But no, let's focus our attention on whether or not Beyonce lip-synced. That'd be like, following the Super Bowl, Fox News focusing all their attention on the coin toss and whether or not the coin was flipped properly.
