Conservatives start tweeting Donna Brazile on Facebook. Wait, that doesn't sound right...

With another day in this world, we have another misleading Facebook post being spread about by conservatives.

What are these little rascals spreading about the online book that is our face?

Donna Brazile, CNN contributor and Vice Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, posted the following on her twitter page on March 23rd of 2012:

"2nd Anniversary of the Affordable Cart Act, ACA ('Obamacare' for critics)! #healthcareworks. Just ask millions with coverage."

Just below this quote in this very post is a second tweet by Ms. Brazile, which she made on February 27th of 2013, that says:

"What's on your menu? Just got off the phone with my health care provider asking them to explain why my premium jumped up. No good answer!"

That's all this post is comprised of, with the dates both being circled in red. That's all there is to the story, right? No, of course not. What, in baseball, if the Boston Red Sox lead the New York Yankees by the score of 3-2 in the top of the 4th inning, do members of the Boston sports media start writing articles that the Red Sox won the game 3-2? No, not unless they want to seek another job in the near future. So what else is there to tell regarding this story?

While it's true that Ms. Brazile made the before-mentioned tweets, including the one on February 27th of 2013, stating that her premiums went up and there was no good answer for it, she has made some additional tweets since that time which would completely alter the narrative of this post and story.

Here are some of Ms. Brazile's successive tweets:

- "Why are your health insurance premiums higher? Price gauging, not #Obamacare. My provider told me it was because of my age. More to come."

- "Starting in 2014, insurers will no longer be able to raise rates as they can right now. #Obamacare"

- "Under Obamacare, the no insurer can charge mature folks more than 3 times as much as they can charge twentysomethings. Again, January 1, 2014."

- "We are living at the end of that era until Jan. 1. And folks like me under 65 will have to endure this until #Obamacare fully kicks in."

- "Starting in 2014, being a woman will no longer be a pre-existing condition that causes higher rates. #Obamacare"

Isn't that special? Conservatives try to prove that Obamacare is the reason for Ms. Brazile's (and others') premium increases based on the Vice Chairwoman of the Democratic National Convention's recent tweet, however, they left out a bit of critical information which would likely prompt them to not share this post at all, when Brazile tweeted, "Why are your health insurance premiums higher? Price gauging, not #Obamacare. My provider told me it was because of my age. More to come."

Something tells me conservatives wouldn't be spreading this post around on Facebook if the whole story was included on it:

"2nd Anniversary of the Affordable Cart Act, ACA ('Obamacare' for critics)! #healthcareworks. Just ask millions with coverage." 23 Mar 12

"What's on your menu? Just got off the phone with my health care provider asking them to explain why my premium jumped up. No good answer!" 27 Feb 13

- "Why are your health insurance premiums higher? Price gauging, not #Obamacare. My provider told me it was because of my age. More to come." later 27 Feb 13

Boycotting jukeboxes because of TouchTunes

I love music and enjoy hitting the bar(s) over the weekend, so naturally, when the mood strikes me, I've never been coy about playing some songs on the jukebox. This past Thursday, a friend of mine turned 50, so several friends of her's, including myself, all met up to celebrate the occasion. At around 9:30, a friend of mine and I both chipped in $5 to play some songs on the jukebox. Four hours and 231 skips later, we gave up on hearing the songs we had selected, and went home knowing we had just wasted $5. This wasn't the first time such a thing had happened to me (and many others), and due to that, I'll be boycotting jukeboxes. Why? The scam known as TouchTunes. You see, here's how the plot typically breaks down. A person (or group of people) downloads the TouchTunes app on his/her phone, consumes one too many adult beverages, and due to this, has less care for spending extra money to hear the songs of their choosing right NOW. That's the thing with TouchTun...

The difference between "looking" and "checking out"

I may be way off with these numbers, but it's my approximation that at least 75% of individuals whom are involved in a serious relationship feel it's perfectly acceptable to "check out" members of the opposite sex they're not involved with. Meanwhile, approximately 25% either don't feel this is acceptable or aren't sure about the matter. I hadn't thought about this matter for a while, but since I've been dating a woman for about 8 months, the topic has been pondered about some. When reading or hearing others discuss this very issue, I often times hear comments similar to the following: "It's human nature to look." "There's nothing wrong with checking others out. I'm sure he/she does it too!" "It's fine to do it. Just don't tell your boyfriend/girlfriend about it or do it in front of them!" "It's natural to find people attractive." When observing the array of comments, I i...
