Limbaugh compares gay marriage to pedophilia

Rush Limbaugh is at it again! No, not eating, although, I have to assume he still does that pretty regularly. Will that be five large fries or six? No, what I mean is Mr. Limbaugh is back to spewing drivel that is more ridiculous than Nickelback being handed an award for "Most Original Music."

Recently, Limbaugh said the following on his show:

"There is a movement on to normalize pedophilia, and I guarantee you your reaction to that is probably much the same reaction when you first heard about gay marriage. What has happened to gay marriage? It's become normal - and in fact, with certain people in certain demographics it's the most important issue in terms of who they vote for. So don't pooh-pooh. There's a movement to normalize pedophilia. Don't pooh-pooh it. The people behind it are serious, and you know the left as well as I do. They glom onto something and they don't let go...

What is their objective? They want us to all think that pedophilia is just another orientation. You know who's gonna fall right in line is college kids, just like they have on gay marriage, just like they do on all other revolutionary social issues. Their own definition of the cutting edge, civil rights, freedom, understanding, tolerance. So I'm just warning you here. You think it can't happen. 'Impossible! Don't be nutso and wacko on us, Rush'."

Yes, Rush, there really is a liberal-driven pedophilia movement running rampant in this country. There's also a libertarian petition going around attempting to legalize beastiality, a Republican movement to practice safe sex by humping inanimate objects, and a Rush Limbaugh goal to marry seven wives! He's more than halfway there!

Seriously, does Rush even know what pedophilia is? As the dictionary states, it's "sexual desire in an adult for a child." Who on earth would want to be part of a movement encouraging this kind of mindset and possible behavior? It's true that college kids typically like to stand up for equal rights. In contemporary America, as more and more people have come out of the closet as being gay, a growing number of college kids have at least one friend who has admitted to being gay, and as many friends like to do, they want to stand up for their attaining equal rights. Many have friends who may be minorities or heaven forbid, women, and like with their gay friends, they want these individuals and those like them to have equal rights as well. Never in my life have I heard a college kid say, "Well, my best friend is a pedophile. I'm really going to fight for his/her getting equal rights, just like gays, minorities, and women." Never.

Rush is seriously delusional. What gay marriage rights advocates are in favor of are homosexual adults legally being able to marry someone of the same gender, just like marriage advocates in this country are typically in favor of heterosexual adults being able to marry someone of the opposite sex. This is far different than saying it'd be perfectly alright for an adult male or female to engage in something sexual with a child. To say that there are any similarities, as Limbaugh contested, is completely outlandish and asinine. As a self-described liberal, I'm appalled by Limbaugh's suggestion that people like me are becoming pro-pedophile. That just sick, twisted, and wrong. What I am in favor of is Mr. Limbaugh getting a thorough psychiatric evaluation done to find out just what all is wrong with this man. While we're at it, perhaps his most ardent listeners should receive evaluations as well, because I can't for the life of me understand why someone would actually believe the majority of the nonsense he spews.

  1. I fully support gay marriage. If someone is happy with someone of the same sex, I say live and let live. As long as you're happy with the person you're with, it shouldn't matter the gender. Pedophilia is basically child rape and child molestation. This man needs to get his head examined!

Boycotting jukeboxes because of TouchTunes

I love music and enjoy hitting the bar(s) over the weekend, so naturally, when the mood strikes me, I've never been coy about playing some songs on the jukebox. This past Thursday, a friend of mine turned 50, so several friends of her's, including myself, all met up to celebrate the occasion. At around 9:30, a friend of mine and I both chipped in $5 to play some songs on the jukebox. Four hours and 231 skips later, we gave up on hearing the songs we had selected, and went home knowing we had just wasted $5. This wasn't the first time such a thing had happened to me (and many others), and due to that, I'll be boycotting jukeboxes. Why? The scam known as TouchTunes. You see, here's how the plot typically breaks down. A person (or group of people) downloads the TouchTunes app on his/her phone, consumes one too many adult beverages, and due to this, has less care for spending extra money to hear the songs of their choosing right NOW. That's the thing with TouchTun

The difference between "looking" and "checking out"

I may be way off with these numbers, but it's my approximation that at least 75% of individuals whom are involved in a serious relationship feel it's perfectly acceptable to "check out" members of the opposite sex they're not involved with. Meanwhile, approximately 25% either don't feel this is acceptable or aren't sure about the matter. I hadn't thought about this matter for a while, but since I've been dating a woman for about 8 months, the topic has been pondered about some. When reading or hearing others discuss this very issue, I often times hear comments similar to the following: "It's human nature to look." "There's nothing wrong with checking others out. I'm sure he/she does it too!" "It's fine to do it. Just don't tell your boyfriend/girlfriend about it or do it in front of them!" "It's natural to find people attractive." When observing the array of comments, I i

The verdict is in. To no one's surprise, Jonathan Hoenig has been found guilty of being an idiot.

Just recently, when discussing the Michael Brown shooting and whether or not race had anything to do with it, Fox News contributor Jonathan Hoenig said, "You know who talks about race? Racists." One moment while I provide Mr. Hoenig with the well deserved slow-clap. :: slow-claps for two seconds :: So, that was quite the line by Mr. Hoenig, wasn't it? "You know who talks about race? Racists." Well, wasn't he just talking about race? So, by his own words, I guess that makes him a racist. Also, if he wants to be consistent, does this mean that people whom talk about gender are sexists and people whom talk about sexual orientation are homophobes? With that line of thinking, Hoenig would engage in the following back-and-forths: Hoenig: "So, who are you voting for?" A woman: "The Democratic candidate, because he's been adamant about his support for equal rights for women." Hoenig: "You sexist feminist nazi!"
