Book update: What's to come

While I believe to have plenty of material to write about today, the reason I haven't been writing as much in the past week is that I've been working on books - proofreading and editing to be more specific. While I won't be releasing any new books before the new year, I've been hard at work on making sure more will be released in the first quarter of next year. For the time being, I've proofread, edited, and condensed my coming political satire(s - I'm undecided if I'll fit it all into one volume or split them up into two). I hope to make the decision on whether to form the satire(s) into one or two volumes before the holidays and organize them accordingly. After the new year, I'll then get busy researching, proofreading (again), and finalizing them. I'm currently in the process of finishing the first round of proofreading, editing, and condensing of two comedic works (one censored and one uncensored version of a book - with some notable differences in material at times). I'll likely finish that step by the end of this coming weekend, and like with the political satire(s), hopefully get things organized before the start of 2014. Then when the new year hits, I'll research, proofread (yes, this happens quite a bit), and finalize the books. I'm still a little ways away from having the books in publishable form, but I'm getting there, and hopefully by March or April of next year, I'll have 3-4 more books available for purchase. Yes, I may be a tad on the crazy side with all this work I've done, all that I have in front of me, and what my end goal is for the first quarter of next year, but I'm confident I can pull it off. For as crazy as my work ethic has been and is bound to be in the coming weeks and months, hopefully I find some time to actually relax, veg out, have a few drinks, and enjoy the holidays. In any case, I just wanted to update regular readers on these matters. I'll be sure to continually update all of you once I get further along in the process.

Boycotting jukeboxes because of TouchTunes

I love music and enjoy hitting the bar(s) over the weekend, so naturally, when the mood strikes me, I've never been coy about playing some songs on the jukebox. This past Thursday, a friend of mine turned 50, so several friends of her's, including myself, all met up to celebrate the occasion. At around 9:30, a friend of mine and I both chipped in $5 to play some songs on the jukebox. Four hours and 231 skips later, we gave up on hearing the songs we had selected, and went home knowing we had just wasted $5. This wasn't the first time such a thing had happened to me (and many others), and due to that, I'll be boycotting jukeboxes. Why? The scam known as TouchTunes. You see, here's how the plot typically breaks down. A person (or group of people) downloads the TouchTunes app on his/her phone, consumes one too many adult beverages, and due to this, has less care for spending extra money to hear the songs of their choosing right NOW. That's the thing with TouchTun...

Trump's Lie Tally at the CNN Debate

1) "We had the greatest economy in the history of our country. We had never done so well. Every – everybody was amazed by it. Other countries were copying us." 2) "But the thing we never got the credit for, and we should have, is getting us out of that COVID mess." 3) "The only jobs he created are for illegal immigrants and bounceback jobs; they’re bounced back from the COVID." 4) "Not going to drive them higher. It’s just going to cause countries that have been ripping us off for years, like China and many others, in all fairness to China – it’s going to just force them to pay us a lot of money, reduce our deficit tremendously, and give us a lot of power for other things." (tariffs) 5) "He also said he inherited 9 percent inflation." 6) "No, he inherited almost no inflation and it stayed that way for 14 months. And then it blew up under his leadership, because they spent money like a bunch of people that didn’t know what t...
