Philadelphia Eagles 54 Chicago Bears 11

From the two teams' first drives, where the Chicago Bears went three-and-out and the Philadelphia Eagles scored a touchdown, the now 9-6 Eagles dominated the Sunday night game at home against the now 8-7 Bears.

Through a little over three quarters of action, the Eagles lead 40-11. They've been so dominant in every phase of the game, they currently lead the Bears in time of possession by over 9 minutes (28:58 to 19:43). For anyone who has been watching the Eagles all year will know, if there's one stat the team has not fared well in this year, it's time of possession.

Offensively, the Eagles, outside of a lost fumble by tight end Brent Celek, have been nearly flawless. They've converted 27 first downs, gone 5 for 9 on third down, 1 for 1 on fourth down, generated 451 yards of offense on 60 plays - 225 through the air and 226 on the ground. They're also 5 for 5 scoring touchdowns inside the red zone. Nick Foles has completed 21 of 25 pass attempts for 230 yards (9.2 per), two touchdowns, and no interceptions, for a rating of 131.7. He's also carried the ball twice for 17 yards (8.5 per). LeSean McCoy has rushed the ball 18 times for 133 yards (7.4 per) and two touchdowns. He's also caught 6 passes for 29 additional yards (4.8 per). Bryce Brown has added 50 yards on the ground (6.3 per) for the Eagles. Through three plus quarters, I have to say that I believe this is the best the Eagles offense has looked all season.

Defensively, the Eagles have been almost as impressive. Chicago has only gained 201 yards of offense to this point, including just 35 on the ground (3.9 per). The Bears are only 3 for 10 on third down and have scored one touchdown in two red zone opportunities.

The Eagles special teams have been fairly solid in the game. They haven't done much in the return game, but have prevented the Bears from doing much in the return game as well. Alex Henery made his only field goal attempt and Donnie Jones has had another solid game for Philadelphia.

This just in - Brandon Boykin picked off Jay Cutler and ran it back for a touchdown to put Philly up 47-11. Like I said, the game has been simply dominated by the Eagles since the first snap. With the win, the Eagles will move to 9-6 on the season. The Dallas Cowboys came back to defeat the Washington Redskins 24-23 earlier in the day to improve to 8-7. Since they won the first of the two meetings with the Eagles, next week's head-to-head match-up will be for a playoff spot. The winner will move on and the loser will go home and get ready for next season. Given the way the two teams have been playing in the past few weeks, I have to say I give a slight edge to the Eagles, but in the NFL, especially this season, we won't know until the clock reads zeroes next Sunday.

UPDATE: Bryce Brown just ran for a 65-yard touchdown to extend the lead to 54-11. The Eagles now have 516 yards of offense for the game, including 291 on the ground. Both Brown and McCoy have over 100 yards on the ground for the game.

Boycotting jukeboxes because of TouchTunes

I love music and enjoy hitting the bar(s) over the weekend, so naturally, when the mood strikes me, I've never been coy about playing some songs on the jukebox. This past Thursday, a friend of mine turned 50, so several friends of her's, including myself, all met up to celebrate the occasion. At around 9:30, a friend of mine and I both chipped in $5 to play some songs on the jukebox. Four hours and 231 skips later, we gave up on hearing the songs we had selected, and went home knowing we had just wasted $5. This wasn't the first time such a thing had happened to me (and many others), and due to that, I'll be boycotting jukeboxes. Why? The scam known as TouchTunes. You see, here's how the plot typically breaks down. A person (or group of people) downloads the TouchTunes app on his/her phone, consumes one too many adult beverages, and due to this, has less care for spending extra money to hear the songs of their choosing right NOW. That's the thing with TouchTun...

The difference between "looking" and "checking out"

I may be way off with these numbers, but it's my approximation that at least 75% of individuals whom are involved in a serious relationship feel it's perfectly acceptable to "check out" members of the opposite sex they're not involved with. Meanwhile, approximately 25% either don't feel this is acceptable or aren't sure about the matter. I hadn't thought about this matter for a while, but since I've been dating a woman for about 8 months, the topic has been pondered about some. When reading or hearing others discuss this very issue, I often times hear comments similar to the following: "It's human nature to look." "There's nothing wrong with checking others out. I'm sure he/she does it too!" "It's fine to do it. Just don't tell your boyfriend/girlfriend about it or do it in front of them!" "It's natural to find people attractive." When observing the array of comments, I i...
