There's been a growing chorus of Congressional Republicans whom have recently been calling for the impeachment of President Barack Obama.
Sure, the Republican Party controls the House of Representatives, but the Democratic Party controls the Senate, and in order to impeach a president, two-thirds of the Senate has to approve of the measure. Since Democrats control 55 of 100 seats, that's next to impossible. All 45 Republican Senators would have to approve of Obama's impeachment, along with 22 Democratic Senators. If the GOP hopes to do this after the 2014 midterm elections, good luck there as well. They'd need to maintain control of the House and pick up 22 seats in the Senate. I have a better chance at winning the lottery than the GOP has of impeaching President Obama.
