Christian radio show hosts claim gays commit half the murders in big cities

How I wish media personalities would get heavily fined for lying. Rush Limbaugh would have been out of a job years ago, as would most of the Fox News personalities. Glenn Beck and Alex Jones would be in insane asylums, because no matter how many times they'd get told to pay their fines for lying on the air, they'd adamantly defend their points as truthful, which could only lead them to the loony bin. That brings me to Bradlee Dean and Jake McMillan - hosts of the Christian radio show Sons of Liberty Radio. They'd get heavily fined for the lie they just recently told.

On their show this past week, the insane duo made the claim that homosexuals are responsible for half of the murders in big US cities.

McMillan specifically said: "...half of the murders in large cities were committed by homosexuals; thirty-three percent of child abuse cases were committed by homosexuals; half of the foster children molestations were done by homosexuals."

He followed that up by saying, "...when a person's mind has gone to that extent of committing an abominable act, it shows what else they are capable of."

Dean made his ignorance, I mean presence felt as well, saying that, "[I wonder if gay people are] thinking to themselves, 'These people are really falling for this. [But of course gay rights are gaining ground since] they got their homo in office."

Just looking at things from a mathematical and common sense perspective, homosexuals make up between 1.7 and 3.4 percent of the population in this country. I played around with some of the numbers. The ten largest cities in this country comprise 25,051,756 people as of 2012. If we take 3.4% of that number, we come to 982,765 (an approximate for the number of homosexuals in those cities - the high estimate). In 2012, there were 2,177 murders committed in these cities. So, do the hosts firmly believe that 982,765 homosexuals and 24,068,991 heterosexuals committed the same number of murders - about 1,089 a piece? I have a feeling a few prerequisites for being a host on this show are: Mental instability, being unable to properly work a calculator, and having an IQ lower than 75.

McMillan then tried backing up his BS by going the abominable-act route. The word abomination is mentioned 67 times in the Bible. In fact, in Proverbs 12:22, it says, "Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, but those who act faithfully are his delight."

Given the fact McMillan just lied his tuchus off, should I be worried that he may go on a killing spree at some point? For, as McMillan said, "...when a person's mind has gone to that extent of committing an abominable act, it shows what else they are capable of." Indeed.

Lastly, I love Mr. Dean's eloquently worded statement about President Obama, saying "they (gays) got their homo in office."

It appears as if Mr. Dean has joined McMillan in committing the abominable act of lying as well.

Let's break this down, shall we?

Jake McMillan - Says gays are responsible for half of the murders in big US cities

Verdict - Lie

Bradlee Dean - Says President Barack Obama is gay

Verdict - Lie

My claim - 100% of the hosts on Sons of Liberty Radio committed the abominable act of lying on this specific episode.

Verdict - True

I think it may be time for McMillan and Dean to learn how to read, work a calculator, see a shrink, and learn that no matter how much they repeat a lie, that doesn't make it true.

Boycotting jukeboxes because of TouchTunes

I love music and enjoy hitting the bar(s) over the weekend, so naturally, when the mood strikes me, I've never been coy about playing some songs on the jukebox. This past Thursday, a friend of mine turned 50, so several friends of her's, including myself, all met up to celebrate the occasion. At around 9:30, a friend of mine and I both chipped in $5 to play some songs on the jukebox. Four hours and 231 skips later, we gave up on hearing the songs we had selected, and went home knowing we had just wasted $5. This wasn't the first time such a thing had happened to me (and many others), and due to that, I'll be boycotting jukeboxes. Why? The scam known as TouchTunes. You see, here's how the plot typically breaks down. A person (or group of people) downloads the TouchTunes app on his/her phone, consumes one too many adult beverages, and due to this, has less care for spending extra money to hear the songs of their choosing right NOW. That's the thing with TouchTun

The difference between "looking" and "checking out"

I may be way off with these numbers, but it's my approximation that at least 75% of individuals whom are involved in a serious relationship feel it's perfectly acceptable to "check out" members of the opposite sex they're not involved with. Meanwhile, approximately 25% either don't feel this is acceptable or aren't sure about the matter. I hadn't thought about this matter for a while, but since I've been dating a woman for about 8 months, the topic has been pondered about some. When reading or hearing others discuss this very issue, I often times hear comments similar to the following: "It's human nature to look." "There's nothing wrong with checking others out. I'm sure he/she does it too!" "It's fine to do it. Just don't tell your boyfriend/girlfriend about it or do it in front of them!" "It's natural to find people attractive." When observing the array of comments, I i

The verdict is in. To no one's surprise, Jonathan Hoenig has been found guilty of being an idiot.

Just recently, when discussing the Michael Brown shooting and whether or not race had anything to do with it, Fox News contributor Jonathan Hoenig said, "You know who talks about race? Racists." One moment while I provide Mr. Hoenig with the well deserved slow-clap. :: slow-claps for two seconds :: So, that was quite the line by Mr. Hoenig, wasn't it? "You know who talks about race? Racists." Well, wasn't he just talking about race? So, by his own words, I guess that makes him a racist. Also, if he wants to be consistent, does this mean that people whom talk about gender are sexists and people whom talk about sexual orientation are homophobes? With that line of thinking, Hoenig would engage in the following back-and-forths: Hoenig: "So, who are you voting for?" A woman: "The Democratic candidate, because he's been adamant about his support for equal rights for women." Hoenig: "You sexist feminist nazi!"
