A record 175,000 were in attendance at the annual "Kentucky Rockin' Spring Blast" on Saturday to watch The Rolling Stones perform for 2 minutes. After playing slightly over half of their hit song, "Start Me Up," Mick Jagger and company left the stage, only to never return. Those in attendance, many who had arrived hours beforehand, then gave a goosebump-inducing standing ovation, which was said to have lasted three times the length of the concert. When I asked a few of the attendees what they thought of the show and overall experience, here's what they had to say:
- "That's 2 minutes I'll never get back, and it's 2 minutes I never want to get back! It was that good!" - Scarlet Grey (Ann Arbor, Michigan)
- "I tell you what... If I had a dime for every time I lasted longer than that in the bedroom, I'd be broke." - Jim Levenstein (American Pie)
- "That was, without question, the best $300 I ever spent!" - Donald Drumpf (Uranus)
Following the record-breaking show, the founders of the Kentucky Rockin' Spring Blast went to the bank, sporting their new personalized license plate, which read, "SUCKAS".
