Oklahoma state Representative Mike Reynolds makes a typo while belittling the need to educate our students
Republican Oklahoma state Representative Mike Reynolds said the following to lawmakers the other day with regard to making sure students have access to a college education:
"It is not our job to see that anyone gets an education. It is not the responsibility of me, you, or any constituent in my district to pay for his or any other persons [sic] education. Their GPA, ACT, AS[V]AB, determination have nothing to do with who is responsible. Their potential to benefit society is irrelevant."
Judging by his statement, I'd think Mr. Reynolds would be first in line to support legislation which made certain that students have access to a college education. It's quite something for a politician to make a typo when decrying the need for educating students, as Mr. Reynolds did when writing the following statement - "...It is not the responsibility of me, you, or any constituent in my district to pay for his or any other persons education..." In Mr. Reynolds' mind, he's probably thinking, "Why should any of us worry about educating our students? Education didn't work for me!" Obviously...
