Trump supporter: "You're anti-white!"

As I often do on Twitter anymore, I was busy poking fun of Donald Trump last night. One of the top trending hashtags was #5WordTrumpSlogans. I posted approximately ten such hashtags, one of which was, "Offending Everyone Without Any Consequences." To this, I heard from a self-described constitutional conservative, who said, "They only people offended are anti-white #RadicalMarxists like you," later adding, "Anti-white muslim supporters."

That's right, ladies and gentlemen; I've been busted. As a white person myself, I'm apparently anti-white, and therefore anti-self. Yes, it perplexes me as well...

It's ironically hilarious this man describes himself as a constitutional conservative, yet labels me as anti-white and pro-Muslim, for while I don't adhere to any religion myself, I believe everyone has the constitutional right to believe in whatever faith they so choose, including Christians, and yes, Muslims. Apparently, this constitutional conservative believes less in the Constitution than I do, an alleged "radical Marxist."

As for the anti-white label, that's ridiculous on multiple levels. First off, I am about as white as they get. The only way I could get any whiter is if I somehow transformed into Casper the friendly ghost. Secondly, just because I believe people of all faiths, including Muslims, should have the right to believe in what they so choose, doesn't make me anti-white or anti-Christian; it just makes me pro-equality. Just because I'm anti-white privilege doesn't make me anti-white. Just because I believe women should receive equal pay for equal work doesn't make me anti-man. Just because I believe minorities should have equal education opportunities doesn't make me anti-white. Just because I believe Buddhists, Hindus, and people of other religious beliefs should be able to freely practice their faiths in this country doesn't make me anti-Christian. Just because I feel gay and lesbian couples should be allowed to wed doesn't make me anti-traditional marriage. I'm simply pro-equality. Regardless of a person's age, gender, race, creed, or orientation, he or she should be afforded equal rights under the law, and just because I, a straight white agnostic man believes in fighting for all demographics to attain the rights I've been afforded in this country does anything but make me anti-straight, anti-white, anti-religion, or anti-man.

Trump supporter: "You're anti-white!"

Nope, I'm just not anti-anyone; I'm pro-equality - something many avid Trump supporters don't seem to understand, even those who ironically claim to believe in the Constitution.

Boycotting jukeboxes because of TouchTunes

I love music and enjoy hitting the bar(s) over the weekend, so naturally, when the mood strikes me, I've never been coy about playing some songs on the jukebox. This past Thursday, a friend of mine turned 50, so several friends of her's, including myself, all met up to celebrate the occasion. At around 9:30, a friend of mine and I both chipped in $5 to play some songs on the jukebox. Four hours and 231 skips later, we gave up on hearing the songs we had selected, and went home knowing we had just wasted $5. This wasn't the first time such a thing had happened to me (and many others), and due to that, I'll be boycotting jukeboxes. Why? The scam known as TouchTunes. You see, here's how the plot typically breaks down. A person (or group of people) downloads the TouchTunes app on his/her phone, consumes one too many adult beverages, and due to this, has less care for spending extra money to hear the songs of their choosing right NOW. That's the thing with TouchTun...

The difference between "looking" and "checking out"

I may be way off with these numbers, but it's my approximation that at least 75% of individuals whom are involved in a serious relationship feel it's perfectly acceptable to "check out" members of the opposite sex they're not involved with. Meanwhile, approximately 25% either don't feel this is acceptable or aren't sure about the matter. I hadn't thought about this matter for a while, but since I've been dating a woman for about 8 months, the topic has been pondered about some. When reading or hearing others discuss this very issue, I often times hear comments similar to the following: "It's human nature to look." "There's nothing wrong with checking others out. I'm sure he/she does it too!" "It's fine to do it. Just don't tell your boyfriend/girlfriend about it or do it in front of them!" "It's natural to find people attractive." When observing the array of comments, I i...
