Heading out of town for Memorial Day weekend

I just thought I'd warn readers that I'll be heading out of town tomorrow afternoon and won't be returning until Sunday evening sometime, I believe. Due to this, it's highly unlikely I'll be able to write much, if at all, over these next 3-4 days. When I return home on Sunday night, while I'll try to get caught up with the weekend's headlines and interesting or oddball stories, my first focus will be on finishing my upcoming book - the third installment of the LOL at the GOP series.

Well, I better get to packing. I hope everyone has a fun, yet relaxing, and very safe holiday weekend! Take care!

Boycotting jukeboxes because of TouchTunes

I love music and enjoy hitting the bar(s) over the weekend, so naturally, when the mood strikes me, I've never been coy about playing some songs on the jukebox. This past Thursday, a friend of mine turned 50, so several friends of her's, including myself, all met up to celebrate the occasion. At around 9:30, a friend of mine and I both chipped in $5 to play some songs on the jukebox. Four hours and 231 skips later, we gave up on hearing the songs we had selected, and went home knowing we had just wasted $5.
