Radio show host Bob Davis tells Newtown victims to "go to hell"

Not too long ago on the conservative talk radio show Davis & Emmer, co-host Bob Davis had a few things he wanted to get off his chest at the expense of the Newtown victims. On the show, he said this:

"And here's the other thing that drives me crazy. They trot out the victims. And I have something I want to say to the victims of Newtown, or any other shooting. I don't care if it's here in Minneapolis or anyplace else. Just because a bad thing happened to you doesn't mean that you get to put a king in charge of my life. I'm sorry that you suffered a tragedy, but you know what? Deal with it, and don't force me to lose my liberty, which is a greater tragedy than your loss. I'm sick and tired of seeing these victims trotted out, given rides on Air Force One, hauled into the Senate well, and everyone is just afraid -- they're terrified of these victims."

He added, "I would stand in front of them (the victims) and tell them, 'go to hell.'"

Yes, Bob Davis would tell the Newtown victims and their families to "go to hell" because they're supporting legislation which would force some gun owners to fill out more paperwork in light of someone in their families being shot and killed at an elementary school. Simply put, Bob Davis is a disgrace to the human race.

In light of these awful comments, there are a pair of petitions going around to get Bob Davis fired. If you're at all interested, please visit these following two links and spread word to friends and family about the story:

  1. It's one thing to disagree with someone's political position, but it's another altogether to say something this hateful. I'd like to tell Bob Davis to 'go to hell.' And that's coming from me, someone who doesn't even believe in hell.

    1. My thoughts exactly. I was actually going to end the piece by saying, "Bob Davis, as far as I'm concerned, you can go to hell," but changed my mind, largely due to the fact I don't actually believe in hell.

I hope the guy gets into trouble for these hateful words. I can't believe a person could be so vile and insensitive. It just amazes me that a person's paranoia could take such control over their thoughts and emotions that they'd resort to such abhorrent commentary.

Boycotting jukeboxes because of TouchTunes

I love music and enjoy hitting the bar(s) over the weekend, so naturally, when the mood strikes me, I've never been coy about playing some songs on the jukebox. This past Thursday, a friend of mine turned 50, so several friends of her's, including myself, all met up to celebrate the occasion. At around 9:30, a friend of mine and I both chipped in $5 to play some songs on the jukebox. Four hours and 231 skips later, we gave up on hearing the songs we had selected, and went home knowing we had just wasted $5. This wasn't the first time such a thing had happened to me (and many others), and due to that, I'll be boycotting jukeboxes. Why? The scam known as TouchTunes. You see, here's how the plot typically breaks down. A person (or group of people) downloads the TouchTunes app on his/her phone, consumes one too many adult beverages, and due to this, has less care for spending extra money to hear the songs of their choosing right NOW. That's the thing with TouchTun...

The difference between "looking" and "checking out"

I may be way off with these numbers, but it's my approximation that at least 75% of individuals whom are involved in a serious relationship feel it's perfectly acceptable to "check out" members of the opposite sex they're not involved with. Meanwhile, approximately 25% either don't feel this is acceptable or aren't sure about the matter. I hadn't thought about this matter for a while, but since I've been dating a woman for about 8 months, the topic has been pondered about some. When reading or hearing others discuss this very issue, I often times hear comments similar to the following: "It's human nature to look." "There's nothing wrong with checking others out. I'm sure he/she does it too!" "It's fine to do it. Just don't tell your boyfriend/girlfriend about it or do it in front of them!" "It's natural to find people attractive." When observing the array of comments, I i...
