Tim Tebow has become the Sanjaya of the NFL

In a poll conducted by Sports Illustrated, 180 NFL players made their voices heard on who they felt was the most overrated player in the league. ...and the winner is? Tim Tebow, who received 34% of the vote. Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and New York Jets starting quarterback Mark Sanchez tied for second with 8%. The Eagles Michael Vick and Ravens Ray Lewis finished 4th and 5th with 4% and 3% of the vote. I actually don't agree with the final four listed. Tony Romo and Michael Vick have been a bit turnover prone this year and Romo hasn't done much when it comes to the post-season. However, I still feel they're both very talented quarterbacks and wouldn't classify them as overrated. Ray Lewis is a future Hall of Famer. He's one of the best linebackers the game has ever seen. Of all the players on the list, he is the least deserving. I agree that Mark Sanchez has yet to achieve the expectations set by his high draft pick. However, the guy has come up big in the post-season, has improved each and every season as a starting quarterback (with the jury still out on the current season) and I don't believe he's ever received much hype by the media on being an elite-caliber quarterback. Even then, those four players comprise just 23% of the vote, 11% less than Tim Tebow.

It's really amazing that Tebow receives as much attention as he does. The guy isn't even a starter. He might appear in the Jets' offense 10-15 snaps in an average game. ESPN will show highlights of those 10-15 plays and do a 3-hour long special breaking down those very plays (and no others). I can feel some sympathy for Tebow. The guy never asked for this kind of attention. Whether he likes it or not, though, he's getting it and unfortunately for him, he's just not very good. He's become the Sanjaya of the National Football League. If you're unfamiliar with Sanjaya, Google his American Idol performances and when watching, think to yourself - this is Tim Tebow in the NFL.

Boycotting jukeboxes because of TouchTunes

I love music and enjoy hitting the bar(s) over the weekend, so naturally, when the mood strikes me, I've never been coy about playing some songs on the jukebox. This past Thursday, a friend of mine turned 50, so several friends of her's, including myself, all met up to celebrate the occasion. At around 9:30, a friend of mine and I both chipped in $5 to play some songs on the jukebox. Four hours and 231 skips later, we gave up on hearing the songs we had selected, and went home knowing we had just wasted $5. This wasn't the first time such a thing had happened to me (and many others), and due to that, I'll be boycotting jukeboxes. Why? The scam known as TouchTunes. You see, here's how the plot typically breaks down. A person (or group of people) downloads the TouchTunes app on his/her phone, consumes one too many adult beverages, and due to this, has less care for spending extra money to hear the songs of their choosing right NOW. That's the thing with TouchTun...

Trump's Lie Tally at the CNN Debate

Other countries were copying us." 2) "But the thing we never got the credit for, and we should have, is getting us out of that COVID mess." 3) "The only jobs he created are for illegal immigrants and bounceback jobs; they’re bounced back from the COVID." 4) "Not going to drive them higher. It’s just going to cause countries that have been ripping us off for years, like China and many others, in all fairness to China – it’s going to just force them to pay us a lot of money, reduce our deficit tremendously, and give us a lot of power for other things." (tariffs) 5) "He also said he inherited 9 percent inflation." 6) "No, he inherited almost no inflation and it stayed that way for 14 months. And then it blew up under his leadership, because they spent money like a bunch of people that didn’t know what t...
