File a complaint to ESPN about Tebow-obsession on Sunday NFL Countdown

After hearing his name mentioned 133 times on Sunday NFL Countdown today, I decided to file a complaint to ESPN. The show was ridiculous in their single focus today and as a lover of NFL football, I want to see more than a single player covered for the majority of a 3-hour program which is supposed to preview the gameS (that's plural) for that day. If you feel similarly, please go to the following site and let ESPN know that their Tebow shtick is getting old. I did and I hope many others do as well. Tebowmania is getting ridiculous... His name was mentioned 132 times on ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown today...

No, that's not a typo. Watch a replay of Countdown somewhere and scroll forward to the final 2-3 minutes when they made this announcement. It was incredible to watch the show today. The show airs from 10 am to 1 pm. I'd say about half the show was dedicated to Tebow. I'm not exaggerating. Again, watch a replay of the program. Hell, it felt like more than half the show was dedicated to the guy. Fricking ridiculous. Does ESPN realize what they're doing? It's like a hit single on the radio. People may love it at first, but if it gets played too frequently, people are going to grow tired of it...and fast... That's kind of where I am. My dad and I were watching the show and we couldn't believe it. Chris Berman, Mike Ditka, Keyshawn Johnson, Cris Carter, Tom Jackson, Merrill Hoge, Suzy Kolber, Trent Dilfer, etc., etc., etc. were talking about Tebow. We heard Tebow speak to an ESPN reporter. We were placed inside the huddle with guess who? Tebow. We were given a ...

ESPN Poll Question: "If your team were down, who would you want at quarterback for the final two minutes? Tom Brady? Tim Tebow? John Elway?"

Seriously? Tom Brady has 3 Super Bowl rings. John Elway has 2 of his own. Tim Tebow became the Broncos' starter just a few games ago. Sadly, the last time I checked, Tebow had 19% of the vote, only 12% behind John Elway, with Brady leading the way by quite a significant margin. Can we please stop with this silly talk? I know Tebow is a hot name right now. I know he's being talked about a lot, probably many of his jerseys are being sold, he seems like a very nice man and who knows, maybe one day he will become a great NFL quarterback, but can we PLEASE stop this? At this point in his career, Tebow cannot be compared to the likes of Tom Brady, John Elway or even Aaron Rodgers, whom hasn't been a starter for too long. This question is stupid for so many reasons, the biggest of which is the fact that Tom Brady and John Elway proved time and time again they could put up points for four quarters. If they were to come back late in the 4th quarter, it wouldn't be a 10-3 def...

I wish Mike Ditka would "Stop It!"

I've got nothing against former NFL head coach Mike Ditka. He was great while in Chicago (Da Bears!). He's improved as an ESPN Analyst and can be funny at times. However, I can't say I'm a huge fan of his "Stop It!" segment on Sunday NFL Countdown. Sometimes, I'll admit, it's so bad it's funny. For the most part, though, I really have to scratch my head at the fact the segment is still being aired weekly. What Ditka does is stand up, stare angrily right into the camera and when hearing about three random topics, will give a 3-10 word response. An example might be something along these lines: Topic - "Detroit Lions post-play penalties..." Ditka: "It's pretty easy to hit a guy when he's down, isn't it? Stop it!" or Topic - "The Indianapolis Colts 0-13..." Ditka: "Whatever you've been doing for 13 games - Stop it!" Ditka does this three times in a given week's program. The bit...
