On April 14th's episode of This Week with George Stephanopoulos , Republican Virginia Representative Bob Goodlatte said something which prompted me to replay it, look up the quote, read the transcript, and make certain I hadn't just developed a mild case of hearing impairment or Alzheimer's. When discussing gun control, Goodlatte said, and I quote, "I'm all for the First Amendment conversation, but not at the expense of the Second Amendment." Let me get this straight, Representative Goodlatte fully supports our free speech rights, with the exception being when it comes to the Second Amendment? Yeah, that makes sense.
