What is it with NFL stars making political protests and then acknowledging they didn't vote in the election? San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who's been protesting the ill treatment of minorities during the National Anthem since the pre-season, recently made it known he didn't vote for either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump in last Tuesday's election. Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans sat during the anthem this past Sunday in protest of Donald Trump's election. What did he do on election day? Not a damn thing. I'm all for peaceful protests, but if all people do is talk and not vote, then as far as I see it, their talk means nothing. Look, I'm as disappointed as anybody that Donald Trump won the election last week, but I at least went out and voted and tried to back my talk with action. Down 41-34 late in the game, head coach Greg Schiano instructed his defense to go after the ball when the New York Giants went into the victory formation. This led to Giants' quarterback Eli Manning going down (not injured) and head coach Tom Coughlin yelling biblical scriptures, I'm sure, into Schiano's face when the clock finally read all zeroes. I have mixed feelings about this, but while I can understand Coughlin's concern, I don't see anything wrong with what Schiano did. The game wasn't over.
