Just the other day, I saw this tweet: "Why I’m voting for Donald Trump in 2020: - 4 million+ new jobs - 400 miles of Wall Built - 450,000 new manufactuing jobs - Biggest tax cuts in history - Median household income highest ever - 3.9 million Americans off food stamps It’s not about politics. It’s about results!" As I started to continually see this very tweet posted by numerous individuals, I soon realized the tweet had gone viral and it was time for me to research its claims. Here's what I found... "4 million+ new jobs" While it's true that over 4 million jobs have been created in "President" Trump's first 28 full months in the Oval Office, that doesn't tell the whole story. I've long believed that the U.S. should make some rather significant cuts to its military budget and finally, it appears as if the Obama administration is about to propose just that. Of course, Darth Vader stunt-double Dick Cheney doesn't agree with these proposed cuts, as he made it known on Fox News yesterday, when he said this: "They peddle this line that now we're going to pivot to Asia, but they've never justified it. And I think the whole thing is not driven by any change in world circumstances, it's driven by budget considerations. He'd much rather spend the money on food stamps than he would on a strong military or support for our troops." Cheney's commentary here is extremely ironic, because many military families depend on governmental assistance (you know - food stamps) to get by from week to week. Not too long ago, Republican Florida Representative Trey Radel voted in favor of drug-testing food-stamp recipients. In an ironic turn of events, Representative Radel then got busted for cocaine possession.
