U.N. Women and Promundo conducted a study on sexual harassment, as they asked 4,830 men in the countries of Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, and Palestine if they had ever sexually harassed women in public with anything from "ogling" to "groping" and "rape." Embarrassingly, the numbers ranged from 31% (in Lebanon) to 64% (in Egypt). If that wasn't bad enough, up to 90% of the men surveyed (in Egypt) said they harassed these women because they thought it was fun. Sadly, those weren't even the most eye-popping numbers in the survey. In all four countries, a greater number of men than women said the women liked the harassment due to the attention they received from it. In Morocco, 71% of men felt this way. I'm sorry, but men really are idiots sometimes. As I predicted in wake of hearing Mitt Romney's premature, ridiculous and false comments regarding President Obama sympathizing with the attackers in Egypt and Libya based on a statement made by the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, of which the president had no part, hours prior to the attacks.  In a Pew Research Center Poll, which was just released, it showed that 45% of the American public approve of how President Obama is handling the situation in the Middle East, while 36% disapprove - a net of +9. Mitt Romney, meanwhile, did not see such positive numbers regarding his reaction to the attacks. With regard to the comments he made, 26% approve and 48% disapprove - a net of -22. At this point in time, President Obama has a net +31 with regard to his Middle East reaction compared to Sir Romney's. Sadly for Mittens, the only group with which he scored better than the president were Republicans, who gave him a 58-11% edge. That was the only such group, however. Men and women approve...

In an interview with the Washington Post , a top Romney foreign policy adviser - Richard Williamson - said with regard to the attacks in Egypt and Libya: "There's a pretty compelling story that if you had a President Romney, you'd be in a different situation. For the first time since Jimmy Carter, we've had an American ambassador assassinated." Really? This is once again pretty low. We didn't hear then Democratic Presidential candidate, John Kerry, declare to the nation during his battle against Republican incumbent George W. Bush in the run-up to the 2004 election that if he had been elected president in 2000, 9/11 wouldn't have happened. I'm amazed by all the desperate moves the Romney team has made over this past week. Williamson's claim is merely speculatory, unprovable and through that, ridiculous. While he's at it, he should make a list of all the other things which may have happened if Mitt Romney had been the president at that point...

I have finally discovered Mitt Romney's secret talent - he can see the future! Think about it - in the past few days, before President Obama even released a statement regarding the attacks in Egypt and Libya, Romney stated that the president sympathized with the attacks and apologized for America. Now, two and a half weeks before the debate, the Republican nominee for president had this to say in an interview with George Stephanopoulous: "I think the challenge that I'll have in the debate is that the president tends to, how shall I say it, to say things that aren't true. I've looked at prior debates. And in that kind of case, it's difficult to say, 'Well, am I going to spend my time correcting things that aren't quite accurate? Or am I going to spend my time talking about the things I want to talk about?" This makes sense. An article entitled "Obama Caves to Romney Embraces Free Speech for Critics of Islam" was recently published on the conservative website The Daily Caller .  During his speech with CBS's Steve Kroft, Obama said, “We believe in the First Amendment. It is one of the hallmarks of our Constitution that I’m sworn to uphold, and so we are always going to uphold the rights for individuals to speak their mind." The Daily Caller makes the claim that Obama caved to Romney and free speech due the message the U.S. Embassy in Cairo released before the attacks two days ago. The message read: “The United States Embassy in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims — as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions." The current desperate housewife said the following regarding the incident via a Facebook post: "America can't afford any more 'leading from behind' in such a dangerous world. We already know that President Obama likes to 'speak softly' to our enemies. If he doesn't have a 'big stick to carry, maybe it's time for him to grow one." Mark it. It's over. I can firmly announce that Barack Obama will win the November election and continue his presidency through 2016. The past 2-3 weeks have been very good ones for the Obama team and not so good for the Romney camp. The Democratic National Convention resulted in a bigger bounce for Obama than the Republican National Convention did for Romney. In his speech at the DNC, former president Bill Clinton dismantled many of the Romney team's talking points, including many lies which were spewed forth from Romney running mate Paul Ryan's lips. Ending a three-month streak of being outraised by Romney, Obama came away with more donation money in the month of August than his opponent. Recent polls have increased Obama's lead over Romney nationally to between 4 and 10 points (6 seems to be about average), the largest such leads Obama has had over the Republican candidate in some time.
