Donald Trump takes obesity fight literally

Throughout his campaign, GOP front-runner Donald Trump has continually pushed the envelope of offensiveness to new heights, only to see his popularity among Republicans increase in the polls on each and every occasion. Not only that, but the 77 other Republican candidates have followed his lead after making such abhorrent remarks, declaring Trump isn't the only candidate who thinks such things, hoping to see their poll numbers improve as a result. Well, Donald Trump tested the offensive waters again at a Town Hall meeting in Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday. When 84-year-old Louise Wingy asked Trump how he planned to fight the obesity epidemic if he became president, Trump ran over to the 350-lb. Ms. Wingy, knocked her upside the head, grabbed the mic, and blurted out, "That's how you fight obesity, my friends!," before dropping the mic and receiving a standing ovation in the form of a slow-clap as a result. The other Republican candidates stayed quiet over the weekend ...

According to Bachmann, homosexuals are the real bullies!

While Minnesota Congresswoman and lead candidate to star as Linda Blair's character in a remake of The Exorcist - Michele Bachmann - won't be running for re-election, she's decided to let the crazy words fly for as long as she's still in office. After Arizona Governor Jan Brewer vetoed SB 1062 late last month, which would have allowed professionals to refuse service or employment to individuals due to their religious beliefs (::cough:: gays ::cough::), Bachmann decided to make the following statement on the matter when speaking to conservative radio host Lars Larson this past weekend during the CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference): "There's nothing about gays in there. But the gay community decided to make this their measure. I think the thing that is getting a little tiresome, the gay community, they have so bullied the American people, and they've so intimidated politicians. The politicians fear them, so that they think they get to dictate ...

Was Biden rude and disrespectful last night as the Republican Party contends?

Following the Vice Presidential debate last night, many members of the Republican Party lambasted Joe Biden for being "rude," "disrespectful" and "a bully." Many Democrats have since scoffed at the notion. Some  people have responded to all this by saying, "Wasn't it the Democrats whom were saying Romney was being rude, disrespectful and a bully after last week's debate? Weren't they saying the same things then?" If we want to look at this from a black and white perspective, then yes, the Democratic Party largely reacted to the presidential debate in a very similar manner - in referring to Romney as rude, disrespectful, etc. However, if we want to look beyond that, I don't think the matter is quite so clear cut.  In the presidential debate, moderator Jim Lehrer had absolutely no control of the situation and while President Obama did run over on his allotted two minutes a few times, what stood out most to me was Romney's in...
