I've always despised GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) debates for many reasons. Most importantly, games evolve over the course of time, so it's virtually impossible to compare a player from the 1960s to a player from today. It's impossible to say with any certainty, "X player from the '60s would have put up Y number's in today's game while Z player from today would have put up XX numbers in the '60s." If there's one thing sports writers and analysts can agree upon when it comes to the NFL's punishment of the New England Patriots and Tom Brady, it's that they can't agree. I've heard opinions range from, "Tom Brady should be suspended for the entire season" to "Tom Brady should just receive a fine without any suspension." I've heard anything from, "The New England Patriots should receive a minimal fine and not lose any draft picks" to "The Patriots should be fined the maximum amount and lose multiple draft picks." I've read headlines which said, "Tom Brady and the New England Patriots got what they deserved," and yet others that said, "The NFL was flat out wrong with their punishment of Tom Brady and the Patriots." It comes as no surprise to me that New England Patriots starting quarterback Tom Brady will forego the chance of playing in the Pro Bowl this coming Sunday. He's been battered and bruised for most of the season, and coming off a disappointing loss to the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game this past Sunday, I doubt he's in any mood to play anyway. What is surprising to me is who will be replacing Brady on the AFC Pro Bowl roster - Indianapolis Colts' rookie quarterback Andrew Luck. All year long, I've been quick to counter the ESPN talking heads whom were sparkly-eyed and drooling over Andrew Luck this season. Granted, the guy did help turn around the Indianapolis Colts this season, as they went from drafting him number one overall last year to reaching the playoffs this season. However, the Colts played one of the weakest schedules in all of football this year and Luck received too much of the credit for the turnaround, as quarterbacks often times do. While...

Seriously? Tom Brady has 3 Super Bowl rings. John Elway has 2 of his own. Tim Tebow became the Broncos' starter just a few games ago. Sadly, the last time I checked, Tebow had 19% of the vote, only 12% behind John Elway, with Brady leading the way by quite a significant margin. Can we please stop with this silly talk? I know Tebow is a hot name right now. I know he's being talked about a lot, probably many of his jerseys are being sold, he seems like a very nice man and who knows, maybe one day he will become a great NFL quarterback, but can we PLEASE stop this? In Sunday's 34-27 win over the Washington Redskins, New England Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady got into a rather heated discussion with offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien after the star quarterback was picked off in the end zone. He contended his target was open and should have fought harder for the ball. Brady looked serious and pissed, perhaps seriously pissed would be the proper phrasing.
