The Kind-Hearted Smart Aleck

I haven't had a strong feeling one way or the other with regard to Chip Kelly during his tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles. When he was first hired, I admit to being quite curious how his style of offense would transfer to the NFL, but at the same time, didn't firmly believe one way or the other on the matter. This curiosity was partly due to the talent and speed he would coach on the Eagles offense. Let's not forget, when Kelly first took over, the Philadelphia Eagles had: Michael Vick at quarterback, LeSean McCoy at tailback, as well as DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin at receiver. The team was fun, fast, and exciting in Kelly's first season there. Even when Vick went down with an injury, Nick Foles filled in admirably, playing so well he remained the team's starter for the remainder of the season. I suppose I won't truly know how I feel until I see it first-hand, but upon first hearing about the coming "dislike" button on Facebook, I'm not finding myself to be nearly as enthusiastic about it as some seem to be, yet I don't completely hate the idea either. On one hand, I admit it does feel incredibly odd to "like" certain posts due how negative in tone and/or content they are, and it'd feel much more appropriate to click a "dislike" button instead. On the other hand, it would get a tad old seeing so many "dislikes" regarding a post or story which meant a great deal to me personally. So, while I can understand the rationale for a "dislike" button on Facebook, I just hope it's used more for the purpose Mark Zuckerberg intended - that being a show of empathy, rather than as a means for a troll army to make their opinions known regarding a political issue. Down 41-34 late in the game, head coach Greg Schiano instructed his defense to go after the ball when the New York Giants went into the victory formation. This led to Giants' quarterback Eli Manning going down (not injured) and head coach Tom Coughlin yelling biblical scriptures, I'm sure, into Schiano's face when the clock finally read all zeroes. I have mixed feelings about this, but while I can understand Coughlin's concern, I don't see anything wrong with what Schiano did. The game wasn't over.
