As stock in the Confederate flag is falling faster than Donald Trump for himself, some far-right conservatives have decided to counter this movement by equating the Confederate flag to the rainbow flag, insinuating that the two are equal, and if liberals can take down Confederate flags, conservatives should be able to take down the rainbow flags. On his radio show Friday, Bryan Fischer of the ultra-conservative American Family Association, made the following statement regarding Indiana's RFRA law (Religious Freedom Restoration Act), the public's reaction, and at the time, Governor Mike Pence's thoughts of revising the controversial bill: "I'm afraid Governor Pence is dangerously close to allowing the homosexual lobby to get the state of Indiana, to compel people to provide labor against their will. As regular readers will know, I'm not the biggest Tim Tebow fan in the world. I don't know the guy personally, but just from a football standpoint, I can't say I'm a huge fan. The guy seems to receive just about as much attention as anyone else in the NFL and for what exactly? I'm not sure. The uber-conservative, "Christian" American Family Association is at it again. Yes, the same group that called for kidnapping children of same-sex couples has uttered more crazy talk for the world to digest. In an e-mail sent by Donald E. Wildmon to AFA members, it read: "What will religion look like in the year 2060? Conservative Christians will be treated as second class citizens, much like African Americans were prior to civil rights legislation in the 1960s. Family as we know it will be drastically changed with the state taking charge of the children beginning at birth. Marriage will include two, three, four or any number of participants. Marriage will not be important, with individuals moving in and out of a 'family' group at will. Churchbuildings will be little used, with many sold to secular buyers and the money received going to the government. Churches will not be allowed to discuss any political issues, even if it affects the church directly....

The conservative evangelical group American Family Association is at it again - "it" meaning being completely nuts. Yes, they are speaking out against a school program called "Mix It Up at Lunch Day" and asking parents to boycott it by keeping their children home from school that day - October 30th. This is the 11th year that this day has taken place. It was started by the Southern Poverty Law Center 11 years ago, with the intent being to break kids from their social cliques for lunch that afternoon - to sit and talk to someone or a group of kids they normally wouldn't to hopefully decrease the level of bullying that was taking place.
