It started raining during a joint news conference which featured President Obama and Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan, so Obama asked a pair of marine to shield them from the rain by holding umbrellas over their heads. It was reported by most in the media as a light-hearted moment. Not so much for the far-righties, however - many of whom claimed that the president breached Marine umbrella protocol. Lou Dobbs tweeted, "Obama expects our troops to hold d*mn umbrellas rather than go inside: It's disrespectful, inconsiderate, classless." Sarah Palin wrote this message concerning the matter on her Facebook page - "Mr. President, when it rains it pours, but most Americans hold their own umbrellas." Nevermind the fact that Palin, Ronald Reagan, and other politicians have employed their own umbrella-holders...
