Showing posts with the label creepy

For Donald, apparently drugs Trumped reality during the debate...

When my father asked me what I thought about Sunday night's presidential debate, I had to pause, before finally saying, "Bizarre." Donald Trump invited three women who claimed Bill Clinton had sexually assaulted them in the past, along with the mother of a girl who was allegedly raped when she was 12 and Hillary Clinton was called on to defend the man accused of the crime. Keep in mind this was roughly 48 hours after the 2005 video was leaked showing Trump making lewd comments about women, to the point where he basically admitted to being guilty of and being able to get away with sexual assault due to his fame and fortune. As for the debate itself, not only did Donald Trump interrupt Hillary Clinton, as well as moderators Anderson Cooper and Martha Raddatz, on 15 occasions, lie at least 22 times, complain about the moderators' alleged bias multiple times, and seem unable to answer any question, he creepily appeared to be trailing Secretary Clinton whenever she spoke t...

The new anti-Obamacare ads put the term "creepy" to shame

The Koch-funded anti-Obamacare group Generation Opportunity just started airing a couple of new ads which put the term "creepy" to shame. Both ads can be seen here -  http://thinkprogress.org/health/2013/09/19/2649001/anti-obamacare-college-ads/  (and elsewhere). I'll wait a couple minutes for you to view them. ::waiting while listening to the final 1/3 of "Stairway to Heaven":: Welcome back. As you saw, one ad showcased a woman going to her OB/GYN for an exam and another showed a man going to a doctor for a prostate exam. When the doctors leave the room, creepy circus music then begins to play and a perverted-looking Uncle Sam pops up between the woman's legs and next to the guy who just took off his pants. At the end of the ads, a message then appears, which says, "Don't let government play doctor. Opt out of Obamacare." Evan Feinberg - president of Generation Opportunity - had this to say about the ads: "What we're trying to...

Is it just me or does Romney come across as a major...

Especially in the television era, it has seemed that a presidential candidate's personality has been of at least as much, if not greater importance than his or her policy ideas. If we look at the eventual winners of these presidential elections, there has appeared to be a fairly noticeable trend when it comes to the winners being more personable than their opponents. If we just look at the most recent elections, Jimmy Carter was an extremely nice and likable guy. Ronald Reagan was incredibly personable. George H.W. Bush may not have possessed the charisma of Reagan, but was still more likable than his Democratic opponent Michael Dukakis. Bill Clinton, which some ladies can attest to, was more personable than H.W. Bush. Likewise, he was more likable than Bob Dole. Even though I didn't care for the guy's policies, George W. Bush came across as more likable than either Al Gore or John Kerry. Finally, in 2008, Barack Obama was definitely the more attractive candidate than Jo...

Crabby Old Men

I wonder what the likelihood is of men's age and crabbiness to increase alongside one another. I don't know the exact percentage, but with the old man I bumped into a few year's ago, that percentage is 100% (1 for 1...small sample size, I know). Directly behind our old house is a public horsetrail for people to ride their horses, walk their dogs or jog. We have two Siberian Huskies and if anyone knows anything about these kind of dogs, they need their share of exercise. Because of that, I try to take them for 3-4 walks a day. I've been doing this for I don't know how long now. Today, I walked (literally) into a situation I never had before. At around 1:00 PM central standard time, my mom and I took our two dogs for a walk. Every day, I take them eastbound and side-by-side, there are two houses with fences or gates that have dogs (go figure). The yard that's fenced in has an underground pool and a tan lab or retriever-looking dog. Regardless of how near or fa...
