The Kind-Hearted Smart Aleck

I read a rather strange movie review from a friend of mine on Facebook today. It was with regard to the new Simon Pegg and Nick Frost film - The World's End  - which I want to see, but have yet to do so. The review read as follows: "The World's End was a fantastic movie. Probably the best one I have watched all year. Inside the comedy you find a very good understanding about the nature of humanity and why every single nation or group of people who have ever tried to 'make society better or utopian' has failed in it's endeavors as well as a good message about what it means to be a good friend. Five out of Five stars" While I can understand the claim that any nation that has attempted to make itself a utopia has failed to do so, to try and improve a nation is quite different than trying to make it a utopia. This is one of the strangest colds I've ever encountered, if not the strangest. On Friday morning, it felt as though the left side of my throat was sore, but not the right side. I then noticed last night and this morning, only my left nostril and left ear were plugged. My right nostril and ear seemed to be doing fine. So I'm not sure what's going on here. Do I actually have two different personalities or beings lodged inside me - the left and right side? I'd love to see the look on a doctor's face when talking to him about my symptoms... Dr. Frankenputz: "So, what's the problem?" Me: "Well, I feel half-sick. My left side feels sick, but not my right..." Frankenputz: "Uh...what?" I'm not sure what the problem is either, fictional doctor. At the rate I'm going, though, I'm predicting I'll get a headache on the left side of my head tomorrow, have a sprained left ankle come Tuesday, feel spasms on the left side...

Yeah, so I loved Mitt Romney's recent comments about his home state of Michigan, when he said, “I was born and raised here. I love this state. It seems right here. The trees are the right height. I like seeing the lakes. I love the lakes. There’s something very special here. The Great Lakes, but also all the little inland lakes that dot the parts of Michigan.
