The Kind-Hearted Smart Aleck

I forgot to post about this. I saw my surgeon on Wednesday morning to check up on me post-gallbladder surgery and he said I'm ahead of schedule and so long as there isn't any awkward pain that's felt, I can get back to working out again. Yes! I have really missed that. I haven't gained too much weight or anything, but feel just kind of, for lack of a better word, blah. So, things are going pretty well again on the health front for a change. A friend of my mother's recently said with regard to me, "He can't catch a break, can he?" I really hope she didn't mean that in the literal sense, because I wouldn't much care for an arm or leg breaking while skipping along the street backwards with my eyes closed. Yes, I do that regularly, especially after I return from the bars on either Friday or Saturday night/morning.

Well, I just returned home from the surgery. I was told that it went very well  and by a couple women that I was "magnificent." I'm not sure what they were referring to, but I may have to press charges in the near future. I was placed on Vicodin, Motrin, an anti-biotic (whose name I am unable to pronounce at this current juncture) and heroin. I've been told to not shower for 48 hours (this frightens me and is sure to frighten others much more than myself, even my dogs), to not drive for 1-2 weeks, to not work out for some time (I'll try to find a way to work around that...2 lb. dumbbells are my specialty anyway), to not involve myself in any acts of gang violence for a week or two and to see the doctor in a couple weeks to check up on things. I'm to refrain from fatty foods until then and so long as I'm not taking my pain killer, I may engage myself in the act of drinking adult soda pops. Well, I think that's about all the news I have...
