Modern day conservative ironically labels himself a freedom fighter

Billionaire Johann Jimmy John took to the streets this past weekend with a Bible in one hand and a sign which read, "Our freedoms are gone which is why I don't have the freedom to do this," in the other, to, as he put it in his discussion with us afterwards, "Be the toughest freedom fighter the world has ever known!" When I asked Mr. Jimmy John what the ultimate message with his protest was for the country, here's what he said in response: "As a white Christian straight male billionaire, I feel like my rights are going out the window one by one, day after day. Muslims can now worship here. Guys can marry guys. Women can work outside the home. Some blacks can vote. I mean, what in the world is going on here? What happened to the days when I knew where my place was and knew what to expect of everyone else? The days when women would have dinner ready by the time us guys got home from work and they'd spread their legs for a 20-second dessert afterwa...

Rush Limbaugh refuses to get behind Michael Sam

After former Missouri defensive standout Michael Sam came out of the closet the other day, it became only a matter of time before Rush Limbaugh weighed in on the matter. On his radio show yesterday, Limbaugh said the following: "Why does homosexuality have a political agenda? Why is there anything political about homosexuality while heterosexuality has no political agenda and there is no agenda attached to it? They're under assault. You say, 'Heterosexuality may be 95, 98 percent of the population.' They're under assault by the 2 to 5 percent that are homosexual." It's times like these when Minnesota Senator Al Franken has to smile, look at the cover of his book, Rush Limbaugh Is A Big Fat Idiot , and think to himself, "I was right on the mark with that, wasn't I?" What Rush Limbaugh and other like-minded individuals whom are white, male, Christian, and heterosexual don't seem to understand is that not everyone is treated equally in...

The Patriot (but not really) Act - demand reform!

Ever since the bill's passage on October 26th of 2001, I have felt that the Patriot Act has been ill-named and in need of definite reform. Unfortunately, as recent news has showcased, the Obama Administration has carried on with the law in a very similar manner to the previous administration, and while I have defended the president on both Benghazi and the IRS, I can do no such thing when it comes to the AP leaks or the continued spying by the NSA. That's not change I can believe in right there. In case readers are unfamiliar with the nearly 12-year old law, here is a list of some of the most controversial portions of it that I feel are in need of reform: - "Section 215 of the Patriot Act authorizes the government to obtain 'any tangible thing' relevant to a terrorism investigation, even if there is no showing that the 'thing' pertains to suspected terrorists or terrorist activities. This provision is contrary to traditional notions of search and seizur...

Obama's re-election means the end is near!

Hollywood legend and rumored lead to the film Mister Rogers Blows Up His Neighborhood  - Clint Eastwood - provided the perfect performance at the Republican National Convention, as far as symbolism goes, to illustrate how the majority of the Republican Party views President Barack Obama. For anyone with a half-functioning eye or ear would know, Eastwood's performance showcased the Hollywood star talking to an invisible President Obama sitting on a chair. Like Eastwood that night, it's seemed as if 98.3% of hard-core Republicans (especially Republican leaders) have been telling the American people about an invisible Obama sitting on a chair. I seriously wonder sometimes how many far-right Republicans would be able to spot President Obama in a crowd. It's as if they have been playing the childhood game of telephone with one another throughout the president's first term, and with him being elected to a second term in office, it's not likely to stop anytime soon. In t...

Romney Leaks Again

What is it about Mitt Romney and leaked audio? First, he tells donors that it's not his job to worry about 47% of the country, who are nothing but irresponsible moochers. Now, he has some advice for employers. In a fairly recent conference call with the uber-conservative National Federation of Independent Business, Romney said the following: "I hope you make it very clear to your employees what you believe is in the best interest of your enterprise and therefore their job and their future in the upcoming elections. And whether you agree with me or you agree with President Obama, or whatever your political view, I hope - I hope you pass those along to your employees. Nothing illegal about you talking to your employees about what you believe is best for the business, because I think that will figure into their election decision, their voting decision and of course doing that with your family and your kids as well." That's right! Some of the 47% of worthless bums Rom...
