I'd think most people, especially members of the media and Congress would be used to this by now. Here's how the process breaks down:  1) Donald Trump says or tweets something offensive. 2) Shock is displayed throughout Congress and the news media. 3) Trump's poll numbers drop amongst self-described conservatives and Republicans. 4) Trump's team then provides a ridiculous twist to the original quote or ridiculous rationale for said quote. 5) The story begins to fade. 6) Trump's numbers amongst the formerly disappointed conservatives and Republicans rise to their pre-story levels. 7) The cycle starts all over again. It was quite ironic for Donald Trump to refer to other countries as sh*tholes, because, as far as I can tell, there is no bigger sh*thole than the president's mouth. Omaha Police Officer Bryan Kulhanek has been placed on paid administrative leave by the Omaha Police Department for, as Omaha World-Herald staff writer Nancy Gaarder put it, a "'potentially inappropriate' Facebook post." I'm sorry, but there was nothing "potentially" inappropriate about the post; it was inappropriate, plain and simple. Here's how the condensed version of it read: "Here's the Cliffs Notes version of my very lengthy post. Let's see if this meets with its standards or if I get sent to FB [Facebook] jail:  BLM [Black Lives Matter] is NOT a pro black group. They are a anti white police group. After offending approximately 98% of the world's population with a multitude of disparaging remarks, GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump posted the following message on his Facebook page: "For a long time, I got any and everything I wanted. Whether it was a car, a woman, a house, or a squirrel wig, I got it. Well, I jotted down a few things on a bucket list a number of years ago and I was down to one, the one thing I couldn't seem to get, the only thing in my entire life I couldn't seem to get, but now, ladies and gentlemen, I think it's safe to say I finally got it and am going to cross it off my bucket list too. The last thing on my bucket list reads, 'to be known as the biggest a-hole in the world.' I know I shouldn't tempt the GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump any, but I'm amazed at how many groups of people he's taken shots at through a seemingly constant barrage of offensive remarks. Allow me to show the growing list: 1) Mexicans - "The U.S has become a dumping ground for everybody else's problems. Thank you. It's true, and these are the best and the finest. When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems to us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people." 2) Blacks  - Trump retweeted a false meme on his Twitter account which had been originally posted by a white supremacist and said this: "USA Crime Statistics - 2015 Blacks Killed By Whites - 2% Blacks Killed By Police - 1% Whites Killed ...

I have a feeling most racists aren't aware that they are, and this often results in some awkward moments when they're around others. Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee appears to be such a person. Just last night, he tweeted the following two posts (four minutes apart): - "I trust @BernieSanders with my tax dollars like I trust a North Korean chef with my labrador! #DemDebate" - "Racism exists because we have a sin problem in America, not a skin problem. #DemDebate" Huckabee's first comment is a bit ironic considering the fact his son David was one of two counselors at a Boy Scout camp to kill a dog 17 years ago. Perhaps he should have rephrased his tweet to: "I trust Bernie Sanders with my tax dollars like I trust my son David with a labrador!" I'm not even 100% sure what Huckabee was getting at with his second comment, yet it's still slightly humorous given the fact he posted a racist tweet just four minutes earlier. So, w...

I read an article last night, entitled, "O'Reilly Has The Guts To Point The Finger Where It Belongs," and it made me want to point my finger and say a few things to the article's author, Daniel Greenfield of the ultra-conservative site, FrontPage Mag . This may go down as the most racist article I've ever read. The piece starts with this: "When do black lives matter? When white people take them." Oh, it only gets better from there... "That's the theme of #BlackLivesMatter, a racist movement which claims to care about black lives, but actually helps take them by weakening the police officers who are the only thing standing between armed gang members and black urban residents." Just because something is a tradition doesn't mean it's a good idea and should be upheld. Times changes, and with that, so should many traditions. Case and point is a recent story coming out of Craigsville, Virginia, where one Jessica "Black" allowed her 7-year old son to dress up like a Ku Klux Klan member, because yes, it's a family tradition. When confronted by local ABC affiliate WHSV, Black said the following: "My brother has [worn it] when he was in Kindergarten and when he was 13. Conservative blogger Kevin Jackson, who writes at the site The Black Sphere , wrote this, which was later posted by Joe the Plumber on his site: "Wanting a white Republican president doesn't make you racist; it makes you American." Oddly enough, Mr. Jackson happens to be black, but regardless of his race, that's still a racist statement. If he had simply said, "Wanting a Republican president doesn't make you a racist," that would have been fine. However, in implementing the adjective "white" when describing this Republican president, that right there makes it a racist statement. Also, suggesting that anyone whom doesn't want a white Republican president isn't a "real" American, that just adds fuel to the fire.
