A high school friend of mine recently created a Facebook page, dedicated to her twin sister, who sadly passed of brain cancer. All proceeds will be going to the National Brain Tumor Society, to help further research and treatment, in order to save people's lives moving forward. Scammed, Shaken, Seeking Assistance   Admittedly stubborn to a fault, I hate asking people for help, but honestly don't know what else to do at the moment. Unfortunately, my mother was scammed over the weekend, and not only did she get conned into providing enough information for her own checking account to get completely depleted, she also shared enough details to somehow get my account wiped clean as well. Witnesses at a meet-and-greet fundraiser in Maine last week just recently reported that Republican Governor Paul LePage said the following: "He (Obama) could have been the best president ever if he highlighted his biracial heritage, but the president hasn't done that because he hates white people." Yes, a president who was elected twice, hates 63% of the people in this country solely based on their skin color - some of whom voted for him to become their president. How Missouri Republican Senatorial candidate Todd Akin will be able to win the vote of a single woman on election day, including any he's related or married to, is beyond me at this point. A couple months ago, Akin let the world know of a scientific breakthrough - that when women are raped, their vaginas possess magical powers to ward off any sperm which could potentially impregnate them. Due to this, abortion in the cases of rape would not be necessary. Following a debate with his opponent - Claire McCaskill - he said she wasn't very "ladylike" at the debate. Apparently, she wasn't dressed in the proper "Little-House-on-the-Prairie" attire, didn't speak to Akin like a king or place on more make-up than Gene Simmons. After hearing that the "secret video" had leaked of him telling some large donors at a private fundraiser in Boca Raton that 47% of Americans are fully dependent upon government and can't even brush their own teeth or wipe their own backsides without the government there to help, Mitt Romney responded by saying his comments were "not elegantly stated," yet has stood by his claims. Romney's running mate - Paul Ryan - said Romney's comments were "inarticulate." Have either of these two heard the Republican nominee speak? At that private fundraiser, he was more articulate, more elegant than I'd ever heard him be before. He actually laid about specifics, which is about as rare for Romney to do as it is for me to win a diving competition while never leaving my bed.
