Tragically, at least 14 people were wounded in Cypress, Texas today in a stabbing-spree. Fortunately, no one has been reported dead to this point. Hopefully, it remains that way, and with time and counseling, the 14+ victims will all be able to live their lives without any further complications. Unfortunately, many far-right gun enthusiasts have been almost gleefully reporting this story to others, sarcastically saying things such as, "So, do we need knife control now, Mr. President?" The people saying such things are insinuating that there's really no difference between this tragedy and the one in Newtown, Connecticut, where 26 people were shot and killed. I'm here to report that there is a stark difference between the two very unfortunate events. There is a difference between 14 wounded and 26 killed.
