Over the past week, Trump supporters have started these trending hashtags: #RepealThe19th, #NextFakeTrumpVictim, and just a couple of days ago, #HillaryGropedMe. For those who aren't aware, the 19th Amendment provides women the right to vote. The hashtag #NextFakeTrumpVictim got under my skin, as it insinuated all 12 women whom have come forward with allegations against Donald Trump to this point are lying, but not as much as the hashtag #HillaryGropedMe did, which I think spells deplorable and desperation . An alleged friend of the family of Rachel Crooks, one of the women whom accused the Republican presidential nominee of violating her, stated in a Facebook post that she felt Ms. Crooks was lying, apparently meaning she was, as were the other 11 women. Of course, if one were to look at this friend's Facebook page (Lona Burnstein of Columbus, Ohio), they could see point-blankly she is a die-hard Trump supporter and provided no evidence to prove Ms. Crooks was in fact lying ...

I've got to hand it to Republican politicians, as they have managed to surpass even my lowest of expectations when it comes to their reactions to the shooting at Planned Parenthood last week (yes, my expectations were quite low). Who takes the cake for worst response thus far? None other than Colorado state Representative JoAnn Windholz, who released the following statement to The Colorado Independent : "Violence – Where it starts. The freedoms we enjoy in the United States include those that were made up to fit the audience and unsubstantiated numerical support, specifically the right to an abortion. A YouTube clip was just released of a speech Lincoln University (PA) President Robert R. Jennings gave at the university's annual women-only convocation a month ago, which is causing quite the stir. During this controversial speech, Jennings made the following comments: - "We will use you up, if you allow us to use you up (referring to women). Well, guess what? When it comes time for us to make that final decision, we're going to go down the hall and marry that girl with the long dress on. That's one we're going to take home to mama." - "You know I'm right about it (about women making false rape accusations)." - "We have, we had, on this campus last semester three cases of young women who after having done whatever they did with the young men, and then it didn't turn out the way they wanted it to turn out -- guess what they did? They went to [the university's Department of] Public Safety and said, 'He raped me.'"...

Radio talk show host and man voted most likely to get married five times and die a virgin - Rush Limbaugh - has never been coy about offending people. This has especially been the case with regard to women. Well, based on a recent comment he made on his show, Limbaugh hasn't lost his touch with the ladies, including the four women he's married, I imagine. Just yesterday, Limbaugh spouted the following drivel: "Seduction used to be an art. Now of course it's brutish and it's predatory and it's bad. [...] How many of you guys in your own experience with women have learned that 'no' means 'yes' if you know how to spot it? I'm probably - let me tell you something, in this modern - that is simply, that's not tolerated. That would not - people aren't even gonna try to understand that one. I don't care how poor a team is playing or how disappointing they are to fans, no player should have to hear an applause by hometown fans when he gets injured. To me, "fans" whom do that don't qualify as genuine fans. Unfortunately, Houston Texans starting quarterback Matt Schaub had to experience this very thing during his team's 38-13 loss to the St. Louis Rams on Sunday. Schaub went down with an apparent ankle injury and many of the hometown fans applauded the event. This was a classless move by the fans whom partook in this act. Secondly, it makes them appear fairly ignorant as well. Matt Schaub has led the Texans to two consecutive playoff berths and while he's struggled this season, especially when it comes to turnovers, he was turning in a very efficient performance before going down with the injury on Sunday. On December 14th - exactly two months from now - it will be the one-year anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary shootings in Newtown, Connecticut, which resulted in the deaths of 20 children and 6 adults. How will several gun-rights groups, including the national Second Amendment Foundation, the Citizens Committee for the Rights to Keep and Bear Arms, and DefendGunRights.com, honor that day? By celebrating "Guns Save Lives Day" across the 50 states. That's right. On a day when 20 6- and 7-year old kids were shot and killed while at school, which left this nation heartbroken, several guns-rights groups will be celebrating "Guns Save Lives Day." Yes, tell that to the 26 families whom lost a loved one via guns on that horrific day. This is an extremely insensitive move by these gun-rights groups. It would be one thing to hold such events on a non-nationally significant day when it comes to acts of gun violence, and quite another when they're held on the...

I guess, even when the state of which one is Governor has been struck by a hurricane, a Republican Governor is still not to cooperate with a Democratic President for the benefit of his or her people. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has run into this very problem. Jersey was struck by Hurricane Sandy and for the benefit of citizens in the state, the Republican Governor worked with President Obama and even complimented the president on the work he's done with regard to the devastating hurricane. What has been the reaction of many Republican talking heads? They've more or less thrown Christie under the bus - some even going so far as to insinuate that if Obama wins the election on Tuesday, Christie may be to blame. I honestly wonder how much money has been garnered by people attempting to take advantage of the 9/11 attacks by making a few bucks off it. Directly following the attacks, yes, there was a sense of unity and patriotism for a while, which resulted in citizens purchasing things to illustrate this level of "patriotism". However, this is a capitalist society. Do you really believe these people's intentions were really that pure or were they also attempting to take advantage of American's fears and vulnerabilities to make some money? As is typical, I'm guessing the answer resides somewhere in the middle. This seems to have been especially prevalent this year, as it's the 10-year anniversary of the attacks. 9/11 Champagne?
