Katrina Pierson needs a history lesson!

Donald Trump spokesperson, Katrina Pierson, had some interesting words for CNN's Wolf Blitzer in a recent episode of The Situation Room , as she said this: "Donald Trump never voted for the Iraq War. Hillary Clinton did. And then she didn't support the troops to have what they need. It was under Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton that changed the rules of engagement that probably cost his [Captain Humayun Khan] life." There's only one problem with that statement - Captain Humayun Khan died in 2004, 4+ years before Barack Obama entered the Oval Office. Besides that misstep with chronology, Ms. Pierson was right on the money! Due to her seeming lack of knowledge with regard to history or how time works, expect her to say the following at some point in the future: - "If Trump had built a big beautiful wall in 1987, it would have prevented the Holocaust." - "The Oscar moment I remember most is when Nickelback won the award for Best Original Screen...

For Rudy Giuliani, time is NOT on his side

Due to the tragic ISIS attacks in Brussels, Belgium, politicians have been making the rounds on talk shows, providing their two cents on how to better combat terrorism. While many on the left have blamed discriminatory laws and many on the right have blamed refugees, former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani decided to go a different route, saying the following as a guest on The O'Reilly Factor : "She (Hillary Clinton) helped create ISIS. Hillary Clinton could be considered a founding member of ISIS. ... By being part of an administration that withdrew from Iraq. By being part of an administration that let [former Prime Minister Nouri al-] Maliki run Iraq into the ground, so you forced the Shiites to make a choice. By not intervening in Syria at the proper time. By being part of an administration that drew 12 lines in the sand and made a joke out of it." The problem with the mayor's argument is the concept of time. Let me provide him a basic timeline of relevant ev...

Band wonders if 16-year-old Muse riff was a rip-off of their 2-year-old song

Peter Darrington, former member of the band Cable and current member of the band The Hudson Super Six, just recently wrote a post concerning Muse's new song, "Psycho," and how he feels it sounds like one of his band's songs, "Heartbreakin'." Apparently, some friends of his notified him of the songs' similarities, especially in light of the fact Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams were recently ruled to have copied a Marvin Gaye song, which cost them $7.3 million. The major issue with Darrington's comments, however, is the fact that The Hudson Super Six released their song, "Heartbreakin'," in 2013. The main riff used in Muse's new song, "Psycho," has been one they've played live since 1999, 14 years prior to the release of "Heartbreakin'." So while I personally don't think the songs sound so much alike they'd warrant a lawsuit, if any band could take the other to court over the matter, it...

Mitch McConnell has trouble with chronology

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has frequently admitted he's not a scientist, but due to his recent comments, Democratic National Committee Communications Director Mo Elleithee added, "...Now we know he's not a mathematician or an economist either." This is because a day after Republicans took control of Congress and long after the economy began to show signs of improvement following the recession, McConnell made the following statement: "After so many years of sluggish growth, we're finally starting to see some economic data that can provide a glimmer of hope; the uptick appears to coincide with the biggest political change of the Obama Administration's long tenure in Washington: the expectation of a new Republican Congress." Yeah, that's it... Unemployment is at 5.8 percent, far lower than where it had been previously, and yes, the decrease occurred prior to Republicans taking control Congress. The gross domestic product (GDP) also...

Dick Cheney's giving advice about Iraq? Seriously? Is Tiger Woods going to give advice about marriage too?

So, did you hear? Dick Cheney co-authored a column in The Wall Street Journal , where he both criticized and advised President Obama about the situation in Iraq. In light of this, word on the street has it that Tiger Woods will write a column where he gives helpful tips on how to have a very happy and long-lasting marriage. In the column, the Cheneys (Liz, along with Dick) wrote the following bits: - "Rarely has a U.S. president been so wrong about so much at the expense of so many..." - "When Mr. Obama and his team came into office in 2009, al Qaeda in Iraq had been largely defeated, thanks primarily to the heroic efforts of U.S. armed forces during the surge..." - "The president is willfully blind to the impact of his policies..." - "...Weakness and retreat are provocative. U.S. withdrawal from the world is disastrous and puts our own security at risk." - "American freedom will not be secured by empty threats, meaningless red l...

Texas Representative Steve Stockman claims the 2nd Amendment was somehow "granted by God"

Texas Republican Representative and man voted most likely to get into a fist-fight with himself - Steve Stockman - said the following with regard to President Barack Obama likely singing the United Nations' Arms Trade Treaty: "The right to keep and bear arms is granted by God and protecting [sic] from government aggression by the Constitution. It is not subject to the whims of global totalitarians massed in New York City." The first recorded use of a firearm occurred in the year 1364. It's estimated that the Bible was written between the years of pre-1445 B.C. to the early 90s A.D. In other words, the first gun was fired between 1,271 and 2,809+ years after the Bible was written. So, I guess my only question for Mr. Stockman is, when did the right to keep and bear arms get granted by God again? While we're at, Mr. Stockman might as well say the following: - "The right to watch reality television is granted by God!" - "The right to play sol...
