The Kind-Hearted Smart Aleck

Last night. It was pretty kinky. Okay, that's just gross. A while back, Tom Cruise was a guest on the David Letterman show and I was hoping for entertainment, because Tom is a bit on the goofy (wacky kind) side now. He was there to promote not the 1st, not the 2nd, but the 3rd Mission: Impossible film. Sequels, that can mean only one thing, summer is almost here! But anyway, back to Tom. He didn't jump on any couches. He didn't talk about Scientology. Dave didn't ask him about it or the "silent birth”. All they talked about were their kids pretty much and Tom gave very short answers, had a serious tone to his voice, a serious expression on his face and yet provided answers like he was a cast member of "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure”. Actually, if you add all those elements together, it makes his appearance slightly amusing. Dave asked if the whole process (birth) was easy and Tom's answer? "Yeah, it was easy." That was it. And yea...

There are so many of them, aren't there? He, former President Bush and others should all go to the Planet Xenu or whatever Scientologists call it. Just prior to his wife, Katie Holmes, giving birth to their child, Cruise was interviewed and when asked about the silent birth of the couple’s child-in-waiting, Cruise said, "It's showing respect for the woman." [1] What? Letting the women hold in all that pain is showing respect for her? Okay Tom, so when Katie kicks you in the balls for saying or doing something stupid again, you mustn't let out a peep, for she is just wanting to show you respect, the man or something perhaps resembling a man. [1] Upon reading that, I’m sure many women would like to show “respect” to Tom Cruise.
