The uber-touchy smartphone may be a recipe for disaster

Is it just me or are smartphones too touchy? What I mean by that is, how often do you not remember pressing any button on the phone, yet find a way to have clicked on an application, gone online, or made a phone call without your knowledge? With my old phone (when I say old, I mean almost ancient), I could have left it in my pocket, dropped it several times, pressed a number of buttons, yet nothing would have happened. With my new smartphone, I'll check it every few days and see that I accidentally called someone I hadn't spoken to for many years while my phone rested in my pocket. Well, I thought it was resting. Apparently, it had other ideas. One of these days, my uber-touchy smartphone will likely get me into trouble. While watching a movie with my girlfriend at her place, I'll receive a strange call from an ex I hadn't spoken to for a couple years. She'll then leave a message which says, "So, I saw that you called yesterday and..." Yeah, that's g...

Scramble With Friends no longer works...

While I've made a few small complaints concerning the Zynga word game Scramble With Friends (Boggle), I've continued to play it. However, as of a couple days ago, it appears as if I'll have to at least temporarily retire from the game. For whatever reason, it's no longer working, so I'll have to place my 2,314-0 record on hold for the time being. No, upon hearing about this, my opponents were not in any way upset of the news. If anyone knows of another Boggle-like game I could start playing on my Android phone, all suggestions would be welcome.

Romney speaks so eloquently about his home state of Michigan. Are their trees of the right height? Da*n straight!

Yeah, so I loved Mitt Romney's recent comments about his home state of Michigan, when he said, “I was born and raised here. I love this state. It seems right here. The trees are the right height. I like seeing the lakes. I love the lakes. There’s something very special here. The Great Lakes, but also all the little inland lakes that dot the parts of Michigan. I love cars.” Rumor now has it that Romney did s ome ecstasy shortly before making these comments and will continue to do so on his 50-state I-Love-You-All Tour, where he will tell Floridians he loves Disneyworld and elders, Wisconsinites he loves cheeseheads, Coloradans he loves the double high of climbing a mountain after smoking a bowl, Californians he loves Ronald Reagan films and Hawaiians he loves getting lei'd. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHaMqHh5NZ4
