There's rumor that Major League Baseball is threatening Alex Rodriguez with a lifetime ban from the league unless he agrees not to fight a suspension which would be handed to him and several other players in the latest drug scandal. If he doesn't fight the suspension, he would likely be suspended through the 2014 season. "Lifetime ban" is quite the headline, but it's not nearly as big of a deal as most people are making it. Anthony Weiner is back and better than ever! Remember this guy? He was the New York congressman who had to resign due to a sexting scandal in June of 2011. Since then, Weiner has decided to run for the mayor of New York, and wouldn't you know it, but reports have surfaced of the porn-star wannabe engaging in the lovely art of sexting with a 22-year old woman approximately a year after he resigned from office. I hate to brag about my record on the Obama Administration's "scandals," but unlike most Congressional Republicans, appear to be batting a perfect 1.000 at this point. With regard to Benghazi, I noted that while there appeared to be a great deal of incompetence shown by the administration in the attacks themselves and the response to the attacks, the charge of a cover-up was unlikely. That appears to have been just the case. I then stated that the biggest problem dealing with the IRS ordeal wasn't the targeting of certain political groups, which occurred during the Bush Administration as well, but the vague language used to establish 501(c)(4) tax-exempt status to certain groups as well as the Citizen's United ruling. Benghazi has been back in the news lately, especially over at Fox News, which is soon to change its name to BSN or Benghazi Spin Network (yes, BS'n). But while Fox News, Congressional Republicans, and other conservatives obsess over Benghazi more than Screech Powers obsessed over Lisa Turtle, most Americans wish Congress would focus on something other than the September 11th attack of last year, according to a poll just released by Public Policy Polling . According to this poll, the public trusts Hillary Clinton over Congressional Republicans on Benghazi by a 10-point margin (49 to 39). Also, Clinton's approval hasn't declined at all due to the attacks, as it remains at +8 (52% approval, 44% disapproval), just like it was in a poll taken in late March.
