In office or out of office, Joe Walsh can't help but be an idiot

Almost a year after his one-term stint ended as an Illinois Representative, Tea Party favorite Joe Walsh is once again making headlines for some incendiary comments he made - this time courtesy of his radio show.  To "honor" the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I have a dream speech," Walsh said the following on his radio show, which has been posted on the show's website, titled, "My Own Dream For America": "Of all the commentators who have been asking whether King's dream has been achieved, FOX News' Juan Williams seems to be the only one with whom I agree. When asked by Chris Wallace if the dream has been fulfilled, Williams noted that there isn't, 'any question that [African Americans] have come along way,' before importantly pointing out that blacks have to address the problems that are created within their own communities. 'I think that if you look at the realities of today, you've got to t...

Business owners panic at the thought of an Obama second term!

Illinois Republican Representative Joe Walsh added to the chorus of rich conservatives wanting to garner votes for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney by suggesting that business owners and managers tell their fellow employees that if they don't vote for Romney, they may be out of a job. Walsh said: "Spread the word! If you run, own or manage a company, tell your employees! What was the CEO this week that said, if Obama is re-elected, I may have to let all of you go next year? If Obama's re-elected, if the Democrats take Congress, I may not be able to cover your health insurance next year. If there's ever a year where people who run, manage, or own their companies are going to energize their employees, it better be this year. We're up against it." This reminds me of the NRA. Preceding the 2008 election, the NRA told gun enthusiasts that if Obama got elected, the 2nd Amendment could be history. Four years later, with the 2nd Amendment still stan...

Illinois Republican Representative Joe Walsh makes another asinine claim on abortion

Republicans already in or currently running for Congress certainly have made some interesting statements with regard to abortion in recent months. Missouri Senatorial candidate Todd Akin basically stated that he feels women's vaginas have magical powers and are able to block off sperm from a rapist to prevent pregnancy, negating any need for an abortion in the cases of rape. In Thursday night's debate with Democrat Tammy Duckworth, Illinois Representative Joe Walsh said the following with regard to abortion if the mother's health was in jeopardy: "With modern technology and science, you can't find one instance... There's no such exception as life of the mother. And as far as health of the mother, same thing, with advances in science and technology, health of the mother has become a tool for abortions anytime under any reason." Again, here is another man who is extremely ignorant when it comes to women's health and abortions. In the United States,...
