Virginia Governor Ralph Northam, a Democrat, has, how do I put this? Dug himself into such a deep hole, he's calling for helicopters to pull him out of what he terms "The Second Grand Canyon." On Friday, it was reported that Northam was part of a racist photo printed in his yearbook. Why or how it took this long to dig up said photo is another matter entirely, but I digress. In this photograph, one man was wearing blackface and standing next to another individual decked out in a white hood and robe, disturbingly akin to the KKK's attire. At first, Northam apologized for being part of the photo. He contended that he was embarrassed, ashamed, and isn't the person today he was in 1984, when the picture was taken. On Saturday, he changed his story and said he wasn't sure if he was part of the photo. No, I'm not sure how a person could be uncertain about this either.
