As I've long said, regardless of how much we don't want to believe it, freedom is not absolute. Whether it be our freedom to say what's on our mind or to own a firearm, there are certain guidelines to each and every "freedom." Having said that, I think law enforcement went too far in arresting Green Bay Packers wide receiver Trevor Davis after he made a bomb joke at Los Angeles International Airport the other day. At the ticket counter, Davis, who was with his girlfriend, was asked if he "was carrying any aerosol cans, knives, weapons or explosives." He then turned to his girlfriend and sarcastically asked if she remembered to pack the explosives. Look, should Davis have been detained and questioned? Yes. But should the guy have been arrested? While I tend to play it like the Swiss when it comes to sports (yes, there is such a thing as a neutral die-hard sports fan), Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has officially made a fan out of me with his recent comments following his team's 27-17 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night. Following the Seattle Seahawks' incredible come-from-behind victory against the Green Bay Packers in last season's NFC Championship Game, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson said of the comeback, "That's God setting it up to make it so dramatic, so rewarding, so special." Rodgers responded to Wilson's comments by saying, "I don't think God cares a whole lot about the outcome. He cares about the people involved, but I don't think he's a big football fan." Former Green Bay Packers safety LeRoy Butler was scheduled to give an anti-bullying presentation at a church in Wisconsin this summer, but it appears as if his speech has been canceled, which Butler explained in a series of tweets. These tweets stated the following: "Wow, I was schedule to speak at a church in WI, and a member said that the pastor wants to cancel my event, I said ok why? Then I was told, because I said congrats to Jason Collins on twitter, I said really? we have a contract, he said check the moral cause. FYI the fee was 8500$, then I was told if i removed the tweet, and apologize and ask god forgiveness, I can have the event, I said no." While, in light of me fighting a cold, I knew I should have gone to bed early last night, but for some reason, I had a gut feeling that the end of the Monday night football game between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks was going to be one to remember. As seems to be typical, my gut was right.  Like many others, I have been rather critical of the replacement refs, but it didn't truly feel as if the referees had genuinely cost a team a game. There were a couple of games they potentially could have decided, but there wasn't that one game yet which stood out from the rest and provided such an uproar from players, fans, coaches and the media alike, that it basically demanded the league work something out with the regular officials. After Monday night's game, there can't be any questioning that potential consequence anymore, for the officials blew the game for the Green Bay Packers. What is with all of these questions comparing Tim Tebow to Aaron Rodgers? First it was "Who's more clutch?" Then I read an article asking which one was more valuable to his team. Now the question is, "Who's season is more memorable?" Can we please stop this? It's getting ridiculous. Aaron Rodgers has led his Green Bay Packers to a 12-0 record and they have a very good shot at going undefeated this year. Aaron Rodgers has the chance to break four records this year. The all-time best passer rating in a season was set by Peyton Manning in 2004, when he finished the year with a passer rating of 121.1. With four games to go, Rodgers has a rating of 125.8, almost 6 points ahead of Manning. In 2009, Drew Brees set the record by completing 70.9% of his passes. That's right. Denver Broncos quarterback, Tim Tebow, is the league's MVP at the moment, so says Mr. Greg Couch. Couch says, "...he's more valuable to his team than any other player in the league. Aaron Rodgers is his closest competition." He added, "Is Tebow more valuable to the Broncos than Rodgers is to the Packers? There is no right answer, no proof. As has been well chronicled in the past week, former Green Bay Packers' quarterback, Brett Favre, had some interesting things to say about current Packers' quarterback Aaron Rodgers. When he spoke on Atlanta's 790 The Zone last Tuesday (October 4th), he made the following comments: "I'm going to be honest, I was not surprised.
