Proving the Dictionary Wrong About 'Irregardless'

The dictionary 'irregardless': "regardless" Also the dictionary 'ir-': "not; the opposite of" 'regardless': "despite everything" Me: You claim 'irregardless' is a word. What does it mean? Merriam-Webster (MW): "'Regardless'" Me: ...and what does 'regardless' mean? MW: "'Despite everything'" Me: Okay, so both 'regardless' and 'irregardless' mean "despite everything;" is that correct? MW: "Yes, that's correct." Me: What about the prefix 'ir-'? MW: "What about it?" Me: What does it mean? MW: "'Not; the opposite of'" Me: So, let me get this straight; 'irregardless,' according to you, literally means "not regardless; the opposite of regardless"? MW: "Yes" Me: Yet it also means "regardless"? MW: "That's correct." Me: 'Irregardless' means the same and opp...

Speaker Johnson Prays for Voter Fraud

With each passing day, it becomes increasingly clear voters don't approve of Donald Trump's war with Iran; voters don't approve of the financial repercussions which have resulted from it; and to put it bluntly, voters simply don't approve of Donald Trump as president.  Historically, presidents have been offered a honeymoon after starting a war overseas. It wasn't until months, even years after the initial strike when voters began to sour on things. Just ask Vietnam. Oh, and Afghanistan. Did I mention Iraq? No such grace-period was provided for Trump and his war with Iran, however. There wasn't a 9/11-style attack on American soil to trigger a bloodthirsty, united front at home. During his campaign, Trump even called himself the anti-war president, promising there would be no new wars, adding that prices were going to come waaaaaay down. So, what did he decide to do? Start a new war, which caused prices to go waaaaaay up. While it's true, 9 times out of 10, p...

To Republicans, Exceptions Make the Rule, No Exemptions, Except...

In recent years, there's been a growing number of people claiming the two major parties in the United States are one and the same. While I have long asserted the issues I have with a two-party system, I'm not going to beat around the bush; the Democratic and Republican Parties are about as identical as Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The biggest difference between the two parties is mindset. Democrats need consistent proof to persuade them on an issue, whereas Republicans need a sliver of evidence to prove or disprove a point. There are exceptions, of course, which often poses a paradox for the Republican Party - as they don't believe there are exceptions to every rule; they believe exceptions are the rule.  Just recently, New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill announced, since 2023, 400 Garden-State noncitizens have voted in elections. This has set off a firestorm amongst Republicans, as they've long-claimed rampant election fraud; that the 2020 presidential electi...

The Debate: MAGAs vs. Me

Here's a lovely back-and-forth I've had with MAGA cultists over the past day. Me: I've now designed 11 patriotically hilarious anti-MAGA shirts. They can all be found and purchased here. - https://when-shirts-hit-the-fan.printify.me/?fbclid=IwY2xjawJRJMFleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHUgO5oyCYpRybUu5UxGcIQa7ivX6qRqdTbDaz41p5_tVpq9CQYkW-VBk1Q_aem_t6MFTOP9_tuKpU4mW53dWg MAGA #1: "Can I get a Kamala Harris’s a moron and an unintelligent liar shirt too?" MAGA #2: "yeah I want one of those!" Me: You'll need to look elsewhere for that. I'd recommend checking out either MAGAProjection dot com, TrumpLied30573TimesInHisFirstTerm dot org, or InRussiaWeTrust dot gov. MAGA #1: "I’ll try. Funny how the democrats and Kamala lied about joes cognitive dysfunction? You are a party of terrorists burning tesla dealerships. Your party is pathetic and BTW you aren’t funny just poor." Me: Lots of projection in that response. Which demographic commits the most terrorist ac...

What I Witnessed at Trump's First Non-State of the Union State of the Union Speech

1) Social Security Trumped at 200: The main reason Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race was because of his ubiquitously panned debate performance against Donald Trump. What stood out to most viewers was not the contrast in policy proposals; it was the contrast in energy. Joe Biden looked and sounded old. Donald Trump, while old, possessed a much greater level of energy. That was one of his calling cards throughout the campaign - "Look and listen to Biden; he's old. He falls down. He has dementia. Look how much younger I appear than him." The first thing I noticed on Tuesday night was how old Trump looked and sounded. Gone was the enthusiasm. Gone was the energy. He sounded weak, tired, ill. There's been much speculation regarding his health throughout his first month and a half in office. From hand bruises, to trouble walking, to a significant decrease in spoken pace, rumors have circulated - anything from heart problems to syphilis. I can't confir...

Get the word out: Vote Kamala Harris over Donald Trump! (Part 1 of 3)

Why are you voting for Donald Trump? “Because he’s one of the greatest businessmen in history and the country needs to be run like one of his billions of successful businesses!” False . Donald Trump basically got started with his business career through inheriting $413 million from his father, after his passing, which he had made via fraud and tax evasion. What did he do with this money? Well, he bankrupted 6 companies (thus far). As reported by John Cassidy of the New Yorker: “Based on Internal Revenue Service transcripts of Trump’s tax returns from 1985 to 1994, the Times report said that Trump’s core businesses racked up losses of more than a billion dollars in a ten-year period. During 1990 and 1991, the story said, Trump’s losses were so large that they ‘were more than double those of the nearest taxpayers in the I.R.S. information for those years.’” He added: “They show that, between 1985 and 1989, a period when the economy was forging ahead and Trump was busy portraying himself ...
