George Zimmerman may want to lash out at himself rather than at President Obama

Three years after the death of Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman has come forward, releasing a 13-minute video regarding the incident and his life following it, lashing out at President Obama amongst other things. In the video, Zimmerman made the following statements: - "Only in a true life-or-death scenario can you have mental clearness to know that you cannot feel guilty for surviving. In all fairness you cannot as a human feel guilty for living, for surviving." - "By far, the president of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama." (when asked who has been the most unfair to him) - "To me that was clearly been a dereliction of duty." (regarding President Obama inviting the Martin family to the White House) - "Unfortunately for the president, I'm also my parent's child and my life matters as well. And for him to make incendiary comments as he did and direct the Department of Justice to pursue a baseless prosecution he by far overstretch...

Matt Schaub deserves better than this

While I've poked fun at Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub's knack for throwing the pick-six this season and have been critical of him in the past for having trouble winning big games, the guy deserves better than the treatment he's received from sports-writers and fans alike. ESPN just reported that a Houston Texans fan went to Schaub's home and "told him off." Another "fan" took pictures of Schaub's family and posted them on Facebook. Security is now looking into the matters. While I can understand fans wanting their teams to win, no player deserves for he and his family to feel threatened. As far as I'm concerned, no true fan would do such a thing, and I sincerely hope security sorts out matters so Schaub and his family don't have to go through any other such disturbances. Let's get something else straight - Schaub isn't the Houston Texans only problem. The guy has been an efficient quarterback for the team for the si...

James Yeager's non-apology apology

Not too long ago, Tennessee firearms trainer (according to him) James Yeager posted a video online with the following rant: "Vice President [Joe] Biden is asking the president to bypass Congress and use executive privilege, executive order to ban assault rifles and to impose stricter gun control. I'm not f**king putting up with this. I'm not letting my country be ruled by a dictator. I'm not letting anybody take my guns! If it goes one inch further, I'm going to start killing people." ...and the winner of the award for the man least likely to ever smooth talk a woman is... James Yeager! Humorously enough, after Yeager said he wasn't going to let anyone take away his guns and if that happened, he'd start killing people, had his handgun carry permit revoked by Tennessee's Homeland Security office. Not long afterward, Yeager released a second video, where it appeared as if he was on the verge of retracting his earlier comments and going so far...

In the face of danger and even death, some continue to cling onto the hope of love

I can't say I understand love, relationships, marriage, etc. I've never been in love. I've been single for a very long time. I've never been married. So, whatever one wants to do with their lives in the world of "love," so be it. Whatever makes them happy, as the saying goes. However, as I haven't a firm grasp on the concept of love, neither do I understand some people's decisions when they claim to be in love. Over the past 6-12 months, I've heard of three such stories which have perplexed me to no end: 1) A woman who was beaten by her boyfriend (multiple times) kept running back to him before she finally realized it was best for she and her daughter (yes, a child was involved) to go elsewhere. 2) A woman whom was raped by her husband (they have two children) kept pondering on if she should go back to him or not. She went back and forth on it for a while, until she decided to leave him. 3) A woman (with two kids) was witness to her boyfrie...
